Don't know how much this thread has covered Renegade Cut yet, but he is a leftist movie reviewer. I think he fits in with BreadTube pretty well since he isn't really a movie reviewer at his core, more he uses movies as jumping off points for philosophical or political points. He's on my watch list for leftist youtubers because even though I usually disagree with their perspective, I think it's worthwhile to see what that perspective is. Recently he released his top movies of 2019, and his inclusion and subsequent glossing over of Jojo Rabbit kind of set me off, so go ahead and rate me autistic or mati but I feel the need to post this.
Alright, sperging over, hit me.
RC brings up Jojo Rabbit and only has about two lines to say on it: he says it is extremely charitable to portray children as not necessarily true Nazis, just kids who want to belong, and he likes that Jojo stands up to and kicks imaginary Hitler out of a window. As someone who has seen and likes the movie, I need to say that Jojo rabbit is so much more than that and this modern leftist is letting his ideology get in the way of appreciating a good movie, which is weird because he appreciates A Hidden Life just fine.
The core message of Jojo Rabbit is that through all the ups and downs, the dramatic events and the mundanities, life goes on. It masterfully weaves comedy and tragedy together, and shows both some of the worst and best aspects that humanity has to offer. That sounds really generic, so let me explain a few scenes. In the beginning, Jojo enthusiastically goes off to a training camp where boys are groomed to be soldiers and girls are groomed to be wives and mothers (all these kids are like ten, with teenagers being their supervisors and adults being the teachers). Two of the older boys mock Jojo for not being willing to snap a rabbit's neck, and later Jojo injures himself at the grenade throwing activity which forces him to stay at home and around town after recovering in the hospital. This is relevant later on, the teenage boys are shipping off on a truck and mock Jojo for delivering letters to houses. Throughout the movie, it is made clearer and clearer that these are the final days of WW2, and many characters express either doubt or bravado that Germany will come out on top. These boys, as far as I can tell, are never seen again. There are some injured soldiers that come home, but I don't think they're among them.
There are multiple parts of scenes where Jojo's mother (Scarlett Johansson) ties his shoes for him. He's still young, he's still learning how to do stuff. It's clear they have a close relationship and that his mom probably started pulling double duty when his father was shipped off to Italy. They talk about aspects of life, and it's clear Jojo's mother wants her son to go in a different direction than being a soldier, she wants him to live and grow and learn to love and all these other aspects of life that make it worth living to people. We later find out that Jojo's mother is harboring a Jewish girl who seems to be about 15 or 16. Jojo's mother and father are part of a resistive effort in Germany to harbor Jews and help them escape. Unfortunately, she is eventually caught and hanged in public. Jojo comes across her during one of his outings and obviously breaks down crying. He notices one of his mother's shoes is untied and ties it for her. The movie is filled with this mixture of a mundane, slice of life comedy and the very real tragedy of WW2, where civilians were killed and elders and children were forced to fight for their country.
And this bald leftist that sounds like a creeper just goes "hurr I like the part where Jojo kills imaginary Hitler". Fuck you nigger this movie was beautiful and you're a faggot.

AFAIK, ED authors use KF as a resource, sometimes, but that's where the overlap ends. ED was started decades ago over Livejournal drama and Livejournal lolcows and Livejournal communities. As Youtube came around they shifted their focus to covering Youtubers. Many of the people profiled on ED at the very start were involved in the hacking scene in the Bay and had created ED profiles on themselves and all the crazy weirdass people they were banging at the time. Your description of ED's early days are mostly wrong. First, it's certainly not "decades old", additionally YT was never a major focus of their content; DA/Furfags/Memes were all more prominent portals.
Also, doxing only has one has one x.

Communism is just the trend for some people. It can make somebody feel special for rejecting mainstream Liberal politics and not just bandwagon with modern-day progressive #woke rhetoric social media. Either that or they were on The Right but either got tired of Skeptic drama or were easily convinced by somebody who sounded smart to them to join the "right side" of politics.
TL;DR: It makes idiots feel special without actually doing anything.
