The reasons they succeeded were the same reasons they succeeded from Britain 80 years earlier. Over high tariffs that weren’t being spent on infrastructure in the south or at least not to the same degree as what they paid in.

Also it’s a same that such a terrible Union General is named after a Great Indian General from the war of 1812 “Tecumseh”. If only British General Isaac Brock had survived the battle of Queenston Heights in the Niagara peninsula, than the Indian struggle in North America would have been different (at least for a time)
