tbh I fucking hate Kavernacle, dude is probably a Marxist-Leninist sympathizer as he constantly defends them or props them up as good. Also he supports Imperialism when its a country he doesnt like
Why US Neo-Nazis Fought Russia in Ukraine and Why the Alt-Right LOV...
wow, didnt know Ukraine had some neo nazis in its ranks, guess we better let Russia curbstomp a foreign country
This again. It would be helpful if these imbeciles specified who exactly are these ‘fascists in the Ukrainian government’.
The current Ukrainian president is a Jewish Macron-lite neolib who won 73% of the vote and got a majority in the parliament while
not a single nationalist party got over the 5% threshold. For a while, Ukraine was
the only country besides Israel with both its president and prime minister being Jews. It is
remarkably philosemitic, so it hardly qualifies as a neo-Nazi central. It is also quite socially liberal for an Eastern European country.
There are fascist groups in Ukraine, ranging from cringe larpers to Donbas War veterans, but they do not have much sway over the public and
do not particularly like the administration. It is remarkable how Anglo leftoids will simp for Lukashenko and Putin because those pay respects to the USSR and stand against the West, and these same Anglo leftoids think Ukraine is second only to Israel in the fascism rating.
Bonus meme: a
very amusing story about Ukrainian police preventing a shit terrorist attack on a gay parade.
I think the issue is the official sites push specific servers in an attempt to use the network effect as a weapon. It's not the fact that servers ban others but the official website directs people to a specific network of sites. When people google the project, they're directed to those specific servers via the official project site. These projects also make open source culture claims but betray them, a common theme. Null has told people to get on the fediverse. If he did not tell people to use Kiwifarms.cc, they would likely choose the one suggested by the project and a functional centralization is created.
It is possible to have the main page of a project be blank or a listing of random or most popular nodes, blogs, channels, or what have you, but I doubt anybody would actually do that. These days, it is customary to showcase a site’s content to entice new users, but that content also has to be hand-picked as to not accidentally promote something that is a Bad Look™ and will put off potential customers or cause negative press. Though I understand the complaint, I would not expect these new services to be any different in this respect than YouTube, Twitch, or Tumblr. Ideally, whatever they showcase on the main page should not be blatantly politically charged, but if a service is maintained by politically charged people, that is unlikely.
