Why is Breadtube so plodding along? It's like 20 minutes of shitty sketches and costume changes just to get like 5 minutes of actual content. I think they're trying to do Proletkult but failing badly because Proletkult was actually entertaining and spoke to people's actual issues.

From my understanding Telegram is an encrypted messaging service and that’s why it attracts a lot of sketchy user groups.

Found something interesting about Breadtube from Luna Oi that there now exists an online cooperative streaming service for breadtubers. I don’t think I would be interested to pay for it when I can watch political commentary free on YouTube maybe if they had enough funding to produce some quality movies and tv shows I would give it a chance for $10/month. But in principle I actually like that they are putting their money where their mouth is since cooperative businesses are a way to work outside the capitalist framework and still operate in the market. The content creators actually have a say in the way their Means TV functions with a board of directors that they vote for democratically and a stake in ownership. Still it’s kind of weird to me when there are really no need for aggregates with this sort of thing. It almost reminds me of Doug Walker’s formation of channel awesome except with Doug he was pretty exploitive of those he convinced to work for him at next to nothing just to be a part of his video review clout.

Edit: generally speaking you look weird if you are buying merch from political commentators that goes for conservative media also with club memberships that give you exclusive access to the creator. I find that a little odd in my opinion when people buy in so heavily to get access to every side of the person they listen to religiously. Alex Jones was a genius in pioneering this, I think he really set the standard in many ways as strange as that sounds for creating a brand that you the viewer can buy into. He used to go on public access before the internet talking about how you better protect your family from the NWO fluoride in the water and shit and then had a brick and mortar shop where he sold survival gear and water filters. Fucking genius.

Telegram is a chat app made by some Russian guy living on Saudi Arabia or some place close to there. Lefties hate it because telegram isn't a woke US tech company and doesn't ban "hate speech" which drives leftists, the ADL, and SPLC up a wall. They usually only ban channels from viewing on the mobile app, not the desktop one. There is a large international userbase and, in the US, it attracts people who have been banned off social media or are tired of the politically correct echo chamber.

They are part of a donor agenda funded by Koch Brothers amongst other wealthy interests that want to influence policy and public opinion. It's what they do so the gravel institute takes a similar style of clean presentation and gets an influential person with knowledge on given subject to voice over their analysis.

I started watching this and then saw Sargon say you know I don’t really care about Palestine/Israel. I hate when he does this as an easy way to sidestep the relevant issue to the points he is trying to make. It’s just lazy and disingenuous. I'm genuinely curious if any of these Breadtubers didn't grow up in an upper-middle class household or aren't wealthy/entrepreneurs. I know being working class wouldn't make their points any better but at least they actually would have a taste of the "struggle" they want to liberate them from.
