Bolsonaro wins

I figured I'd start this thread in a similar manner to the Swedish one, about a topic of considerable importance this weekend which we all forgot about.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_general_election,_2018
General elections are scheduled to be held in Brazil on 7 October 2018 to elect the President, Vice President and the National Congress. Elections for state Governors and Vice Governors, state Legislative Assemblies and Federal District Legislative Chamber will be held at the same time.

So, who do you think is going to win? Will @AN/ALR56 come back to life and educate us? Polls looks quite good for Bolsonaro as God-Emperor of the southern half of the New World.

Fascism is right wing socialism.

Hot damn, you solved the puzzle! Go, quickly, and tell the political scientists who have been arguing about it for decades your stunning realization! There’s no time to waste, the world cannot proceed without your genius in the field of government!

In minor news:
1-Bolsonaro biggest ally on the Senate(Magno Malta), lost his seat on Espirito Santo, surprisingly 2 left wing candidates took his place.
2-The 2 key members from the infamous brazilian liberalist group (MBL) got elected in the congress, expect memes ahead.
Does anyone know when the second round is going to happen?
October 28.

He has the approval of the Venezuelan people for some reason ignoring that probably they are going to get kicked out eventually, some guys are calling him the "Brazilian Trump" so the next logical step is making the wall to keep the Venezuelans away

Leftists the world over are overdramatic faggots, aren't they? Seriously, take away the word "Brazil" in all these salty tweets and you'd be unable to tell if you were looking at a tweet from today or November 2 years ago. These people just cannot learn how to take a loss whenever they lose an election.

Is there a reason they seemingly use Bolsonaro and Bonoro interchangeably? I know nothing about Portuguese as language. Or are they different people and I haven't been paying attention?

I dunno, I'm not BR either. Maybe it's derogatory for him like the whole "Trump = Drumpf" thing or something? I looked at the other candidates' names and none of them are named "Bonoro" so maybe it's a misspelling, language thing, or the derogatory I mentioned.

Brazil is actually a functional democracy from what I've read, so if he fucks everything up the pendulum will swing back and it'll be the Brazilian left's turn to fuck things up. I guess that's the thing that I find most amusing about people freaking out over who's in charge of the government (in modern western democracies, anyway).

People need to drink a big old glass of calm the fuck down

Voldemort shit. His name can't be spelled.

Aaah, that immature shit? Gotcha. Usually these toddlers just put asterisks in the person's name.

I keep seeing a lot of "Don't take my youth away" comments. Is that some faggy slogan like "Love Trumps Hate" or something?

Probably some faggy way of saying 'tomorrow belongs to me'

They're all shitty candidates, Brazil currently is a hell hole full of corruption, drug dealers and illegal immigrants from Venezuela.

@Sparky Lurker don't forget Haddad left his supporters waiting under the rain and never showed up lol what a cretin

In many of the border cities, they literally buy votes. This occurs because you have to vote as a Brazilian so long as you're literate and able bodied. Since many people in border towns are Brazilians or dual citizens, they have to vote. Due to the fact that they're often living outside of the country (barely), it's hard for the government to crack down on them. This occurs frequently in Pedro Juan Caballero which has a dry border with Brazil as well as Ciudad del Este which is an interesting city.

So I went on wikipedia to get a quick and easy(and probably slightly inaccurate) overview of the leading two parties, and wtf is it with the slogans?

PT "Partido dos Trabalhadores" wich translates to "Worker's Party" (not communist at all comrad) has been in power since 2003 with "Luis Inácio Lula da Silva" Aka Lula, then "DIlma Roussef "(2011-2016) was impeached in 2016 for "Michel Temer" (2016ish - 2018 ) Brazil's vice-president necause she was involved in corruption (everyone knows that, as always )

What thet did: Increased taxes, made the Brazilian currency (the Real) worth almost nothing, GAVE money to Dictators in Angola, Cuba, Zimbabue, Venezuela and Congo, made local and foreing banks richer as never before with "incentives", there is so much stuff that happened that could easily get a thread fot itself, and yes, I live in Brazil.
