I might as well use the post above as a segway to sperg about a thing I ran into a while back. A possible explanation for why Volume 1 feels the "weakest" overall.

Allegedly, the game's story department was a mess all the way back before the game even launched (Considering that BA released in 2021, it must have been in development during the Pandemic which probably did not help.)

Anyway the theory/rumor (MAYBE it's confirmed somewhere but I have no idea where?) is that the original Vol. 1 was supposed to be "Sensei is given command of RABBIT Squad and told to hunt down Wakamo." This at least sounds believable. Making four "prey animals" hunt their "natural predator" fits the kind atmosphere that many BA stories ended up having, It would also explain why Wakamo has such a big role in the Prologue/Tutorial and then completely disappears from the Main Story. For whatever reason this was scrapped and the Abydos storyline was moved or rushed to serve as the introductionary story. With a serviceable but less than perfect result.

This does raise the question of what the Abydos storyline would've been like in this alternative version. Perhaps it would've been similar to the Vol. 4 we ended up getting, just with Abydos replacing SRT. Perhaps the GSC would prefer Abydos to "naturally" disband. Maybe it officially has been, and Abydos team would be technically squatting at their own school.

(Related: a Student body of five people simply isn't viable, why doesn't [insert enemy here] just attack during night when FTF is at home sleeping, it's not like they have people for night shifts?)

This nigga casually forgetting unc. In her relationship story you find out that Hoshino patrols the entire Abydos area on her own during the night so that the other 4 can sleep, it's why she's so sleepy all the time. Since Hoshino is basically a battle shonen protagonist and a one-grandpa-army she can pretty much do it by herself.

So I just got Kikyou on my 19th pull, and I figure that rather than let the 190 pull points go to waste I'll just pull once more.
What band girl should I spark for? Nasu, Yoshimi, or Kazusa?

Band Kazusa: can be kept at 3-star and still be an useful buffer.
Band Yoshimi: meant to be invested in heavily (UE40) and serve as one of the best DPS options for Set (her EX skill is a self-buff, bypassing Set's EX skill damage reduction gimmick.)
Band Natsu: not limited (she has a tiny chance of appearing at basically any pull during any time)

I ended up grabbing Kazusa, thanks!
I got spooked by a couple other 3 Stars, so it wasn't really a waste - Miyu (Twice!), Mimori (Beach) and Kokona

After two insanely bullshit roster check bosses it's nice to see a roster check boss who requires students with kits that are easy to fulfill. All you need is at least 1 ST DPS, 1 DEF shredder, 1 tank and at least 1 healer (tho I'd recommend one single target healer for the lanterns and one AoE healer for the team but it all depends as always). Though I will admit I did end up having to throw bodies at the purple variant given that the only ST purple DPSer I have is Maid Midori.

And I'm saying this as someone who got insanely lucky on his pulls just before Greg (I got Mina and NY Haruka) and who has a highly invested Satsuki for dumpstering Geburah (my first ever plat).
