I liked v5c2 a lot, I liked nagusa's arc of growing out of her pessimistic, self defeating, whiny bitch period. I wish Yukari got more screen time but I understand why she was in the backburner for the second act and it was paced a lot better than v5c1 which was full of filler and exposition at the start with a lot of the action being crammed at the end.
Churro enjoyed her time in the spotlight but her relationship with Kokuriko is interesting, I liked it a lot when existentialism hits her like a ton of bricks and she asks Kokuriko whether she's a phantom fable given sentience or not, little girl is lonely, scared and confused. She needs saving and her little hero arc with her little drawing set that up nicely, I think we'll see her again, speaking of which, Kokuriko was cool with Churro throwing a wrench in her plans with that little stunt. It's like she has no endgame and was doing what she was doing for the love of the game and was proud to see her little Churro grow up to be a storyteller herself I hope we see these two again, I'm curious where they're going and you can just make her a playable special that summons her lion. I'm also still sick of Kuzunoha and her bullshit and how very little explanation there is about her but I'm glad she bonked Churro that was funny.
I like Niya a lot and I loved it when she revealed her power level, up until this point she's been a goofy lazy piece of shit that hasn't done much but she was still fun, her showing her teeth once or twice to show why she's in such a high position despite not doing a lot was a smart choice.
I dislike how v1c3 looms over this episode like a dark cloud but the cat's out of the bag, we're just going to have to live with it.
all and all it wasn't a total waste of time, I had a good time and I look forward to seeing more
