I say it's a grift because it serves no purpose other than to make money from telling people what they want to hear. I'm not calling it a grift because I don't think they believe what they say. Just because there's a demographic of people that live each day to hear their thoughts played to them, doesn't mean that content is worth making. Actually edit your shit, cut off the fat, focus more on being actually funny. They won't do that though because they need a video on every single culture war Disney Jew movie and need the best possible ratio of time spent making it to video duration they can get in order to live off of the grift.

Honestly, Bunjeeeeee and old Metokur before the quarterly streams are the only people I've seen do this kind of content well. All the skin walkers posted here are just ass.
 
Liked the new video. Generally agree with Bunjeee-the Backrooms is only good as a setting and most efforts to expand it just make it fail miserably. Also holy fuvk i did not know that some of the glazers of the movie were such insufferable midwits. I'm getting flashbacks to hanging out with Rick & Morty fans in the mid 2010s. Most of the ones I've met were the usual "it was pretty good but fell off towards the end".

I don't know how much he's fallen off, but I still have a soft spot for E;R. Watching his Life is Strange and Deadpool vs. One Punch Man videos as a stinky goblin teenager is one of those formative memories that stuck around with me stronger than most, it's up there with me spending 5 hours manually modding a Morrowind run or watching the Ed, Edd n' Eddy movie the night before the Calculus final in senior year while everyone else in the group chat was freaking out.

I found E;R late and liked a handful of his videos and found him a massive faggot in others. Then I see he's really mid in livestream stuff and I'm just "Okay". I can get people loving his shit, but it's not for me.

I originally didn't watch him because I found his voice to be too gay, but I recently tried watching Korra and saw his videos recommended through that. I thought he and Mauler were the same person for a long time. Streaming is always gay and shit.

A grift is whatever you deem it to be, I guess. Clearly not saying this in good faith when anyone who has watched the podcast knows they're one of the few people on Youtube interested in being critical of media and deconstruct it to explain what works, what doesn't, and why. Just because there are people in their chat who sit there to have their biases confirmed doesn't mean they do it as a grift. That can be found literally EVERYWHERE. And the idea that they're in it for money is insanely laughable. They've been shat on by actual grifters for years because they don't actively defend every piece of shit movie coming out in the past 10 years.

His older videos were far better, then he just sorta disappeared for awhile (apparently cause he was on SSRI's) before coming back, he's more hit or miss now but I still overall like him. The streams suck tho for sure.
