American Spirit were my go to when I smoked a pack every week or so for a few months. The different colors are interesting and I tried most of them.
They all have a heavy drag to them and require getting used to. I didn't mind, but some people will not shut up about how hard they drag and how long they last.
Blue: Inoffensive and a crowd pleaser. Smooth and enjoyable.
Black: Harsh to the throat for light smokers, very flavorful and strong. These were fun as a "one a day" cig on my nightly walks. They go straight to your head though.
Yellow: Extremely smooth to the point of being TOO light, for me. Casual and enjoyable when you aren't in the mood for a head high or throat burn.
Sky: This one had a charcoal filter and tasted very crisp and light. I enjoyed the difference in taste for the one pack I had.
I know you said no Marlboro, but their Southern Cut cigs are excellent. Never burn the throat, taste enjoyable, and give you a good amount of nicotine.
Goth ciggies. They smell divine though. If I can find them, I really like a Djarum Black on occasion.
I remember when they were a new brand, and a carton of them was $20.Been smoking Maverick Red 100s lately. They're alright.
Kools are 100 times better.Newports
Didn't they switch the wrapper on Djarum Blacks from paper to tobacco because of some bullshit Obama law?
Started smoking on Camels Reds. Good Cig. Went to Marbolo Reds, then Newports. Then I "quit" and started smoking Swisher Sweets full time 6 months later. Then I "quit" again after a few years and went to vaping. In all seriousness though Camel reds are really good. They're the best of a compromise. They are not as strong as Lucky, but with a better taste now that Lucky changed their formula. The Wide variety is good for getting a quick fix if you're on the clock, 99's for a long burn, and regular is between those two.
Absolute fucking chat wish I could get me some of these og Nats. They sell the oranges across the state line, I fucking love that cigarette. It's like smoking barkI used to get Nat Sherman Classics on occasion back in the day and they were fucking amazing, the menthols especially. They were like $15 a pack in my state back in the late 2000s, I can't imagine what they would cost today if they hadn't been discontinued. Probably like $30.

I also came dangerously close to buying a pack of Parliaments the other day thanks to this thread. Just what I need right now, adding smoking back on top of my can a day dip habit. Thanks assholes.
