Gotta love how retarded the weekly challenge is. They want you to do medic stuff but the reward is a skin for the other support guy.

I know this can't be just me, but do you all remember the petty engagements from 4 and V? Like you're in an isolated spot of the map with a respawn beacon that's well hidden and some guy kills you. You respawn, and you kill him and vice versa. There's nothing like that in 2042. And I really loved those dumb engagements.

I would just run around to find and kill the guy, not even playing objective because it was that fun. I miss those battles so much.

I've killed a guy like 3 times before finding his respawn beacon, so I suppose that's something similar to it. Most people don't seem to run the beacon though since you're giving up C4, Rocket Launchers, SOFLAM and Supply Crates for it.

That's the trouble with everyone being able to have most of the weapons and gadgets - without class restrictions some of the more esoteric gadgets fall right off the list in favour of more direct weapons.

I never thought about it like that. Yeah - with all the heroes having set gadgets, that you can't change, you're giving something very valuable up to have the beacon. Like, did they not playtest these things? I'm no sniper, but with the automatic weapons that you could use in the past with recons, I'd use the respawn beacon for dumb, fun stuff.
 
As soon as the thought "I might actually buy this game" comes into my head, a jet flies low altitude and guns me down. Had no sound indication. I'd be a masochist if I actually bought this game.

It sounds like EA and DICE have gone full lockdown on the status of the game, since EA's next earning's call is next month.

They need Jesus. Outside of a transformation of gadgets and the maps, only he knows what could truly fix the game. 128 players needed way more play testing, especially with all the vehicles.

They just need to take it out to the barn and just shoot it. There's literally no salvaging this train wreck.
 
Is this the first Battlefield game to outright fail? People mocked the shit out of V with it's WWII black lady amputee cyborgs but at least that game sold well.

Didn't Hardline fail to meet sales expectations? Granted, it was more of that they branded a Cops & Robbers game with the Battlefield name, and the game could have done better if it was it's own separate or side IP.

Somehow, an alpha state for a yet-to-be-released game is higher than 2042 if you are going by twitch metrics. Also, I've noticed that it is fucking lower than the first Dark Souls, World of Tanks and Heroes of the Storm! When an abandoned game has more viewers than your 2021 trainwreck, you know something smells like dogshit on a golden plate that is DICE.
