My Ruth and Eva are kicking ass in V with the M1 Garand assault class!

I am getting better, but I cannot snipe for shit. Any Recon tips?

Lead into them?

So, aim slightly above? There's something about "zeroing distance."
There should be a key you can press while aiming down sights that zeroes the distance of your scope (every time you press it it should say something like 100m, 200m, 300m, etc). That basically means that the direct center of your reticle is adjusted so the bullet bullet drop have the bullet land their, thus compensating for having to aim above people.

But yeah, BF doesn't do hitscan, fire some shots and learn to gauge the distance at which you can shoot people, how long the bullet takes to arrive and how far it drops from where you initially aimed.

How do you know how far you are? So, it aims for you? Like an aimbot?

You should've seen my face when I tried to snipe like CoD and the bullet didn't hit.

I can't tell if you're intentionally dense because I was a cunt, or this is flying right over your head.

I don't know if BF1 or BFV have the option, but there might be a scope available with a range finder that will tell you the distance. Otherwise, it's guess work.

No. If you want to fire a bullet far, you have to aim higher to compensate for the bullet drop. Zeroing will just adjust your scope so that you physically aim at the same place, but the gun is aimed up a bit higher to simulate you aiming higher.
