My Durge playthrough was very peaceful and relaxing because all these awful, insufferable characters? Weren’t there.
Zesty Buck? Fed to BOOOOAL
Red dyke? Killed for Tyr
Faggot zoophile? Stoned to death by goblin children
Tiefniggers? Killed for drow puss
Winged bull dyke? Sold to incel
Cleric dyke? Killed cause dad said so
Gay squid? Called him repulsive to his face
I even sought redemption and lived happily ever after, getting away with making Baldur’s Gate great again and not being made into papa’s puppet. For all the many flaws of this game, at least you have the option to be cool. BioWare hasn’t let you be based since ME3.

Default Dark Urge (he looks awesome), Paladin (there’s no male melee fighters in the cast and its main-character coded, plus you get tons of unique dialogue), resist the curse but when it gets out make sure it’s bad and you tear shit up, suffer no failure, replace Cazador as Astarion’s abuser if you’re playing evil and ruthless he adores you, pump and dump Lae’zel or Minthara but pick one because they’re based, if you do seek redemption then pick Lae’zel cause the homo devs made Minthara leave you if you don’t became dad’s monster.
You should absolutely help the little blue guys terror-bomb the factory, make a deal with Auntie, kill Halsin, maim, kill and burn to your heart’s content because the people you’re doing it to are either hippies led by zoophile, hellspawn, degenerates or the citizens of Baldur’s Gate (L.A) and all the while, being the biggest jackass possible. Follow the steps from my earlier post, give Wyll or Karlach to the Kuo-Toa, if you don’t burn the Grove, then destroy his patron in Act 2 and condemn him to life as a chaos spawn all while getting rid of an annoying whore, kill his father too.
Most based ending is becoming Absolute as Dark Urge though, play “Paint it Black” and watch the end of the world or free yourself and become a God-King on your own merits.

Sadly, I've already got a DB design that I was going to use for RP reasons; shame, since the default Durge definitely looks the best! I agree on picking a melee class, though what about EK Fighter or a Barbarian? Those got suggested a few pages ago, and I was curious; haven't been able to really run through the game just yet due to other issues. I will be taking a look at Oathbreaker, mind.
Never did really consider companion options and such; was planning on running solo myself, killing/ruining everything along the way, as just about everyone seemed some flavor of degenerate. I'll try and keep an eye on Laz'zel and/or Minthara.
Sounds like fun! I usually stick to playing "good" in other games, but BG3 is so woke otherwise that it honestly seems worth it to go full villain. I mean... if we're given an option for fag bashing...
So, if I'm looking at this correctly: take control of the Netherbrain and use it to destroy Baldur's Gate, and either claim the throne for Bhaal or take it for yourself? I can work with that; I will admit that I'm tempted to destroy the brain, as I've seen enough fags try and insist that "Mind Flayers are a good and moral race"; including WOTC themselves. Any reasons on picking "Control" over "Destroy and Resist"? I suppose burning Baldur's Gate sounds like a valid enough reason, admittedly...

@Scream Aim Fire Barbarian gets some flavour if you’re just going to be a Khorne berserker and there will be no overlap with Karlach. I tend not to go Fighter because Lae’zel locks that down.
Most of the goon squad can be bullied into submission, GAYle will stay after you purge the grove with a persuade check, which a Paladin will pass with ease. Shadowheart has no personality, Astarion is gonna be your cringing man-slave, Lae’zel will try to fuck a Dark Urge before you even leave the Grove and Minthara is just cocaine, she’s the best, was even meant to get preggers with Durge’s hellspawn but they cut it cause they’re pussies.
It all depends on if you choose to become your dad’s chosen and fight sis. Refuse and you are freed, Minthara will leave but you can dominate the brain and choose the hell you make or destroy it to be the “hero” and get away with it all.
Do not destroy it if you become your father’s chosen, he makes you into a retard. If you become death, then you gotta commit. You pretty much become Horus Lupercal in this one though, you’re the instrument of the apocalypse rather than the one calling the shots.
The best destroy one isn’t available for Durge, it’s where you become a mind flayer, Minthara (loyal, best gurl) and you go to the Underdark and she’s already putting together how the two of you will live, she’s mentally getting ready to bring you prey.

Is there a mod that replaced the dreadful "body type" with male and female gender symbols like in early access? I will be surprised if this is not still in the game files.

There's a mod for that replaces it to "sex and musculature" not sure about symbols. There's also a mod that makes the half angel male but neither of these are on nexus. Look up sir aylin if you are interested, you might the other mod on the same site.

I looked into it but I am not sure if it actually removes the body type nonsense. If it's just called something else and you have to pick a number it's still gay pozzed shit, I just want a simple gender selection.

Been trying to play through again, but I don't know why this game is so loved. Am I just missing something? The companions you start with are fucking intolerable and come across like 6 different writers were all told to make the backstory for a main character. It's especially egregious for Gale, who is apparently fucking the goddess of magic and should by all accounts be a level 18+ wizard.
The gameplay itself is extremely faithful to 5e, which makes it an awful system for a video game. You have to keep ritual spells prepared for some reason, which really limits how many spells you can have prepared, but then it doesn't even matter because you can change prepared spells on the fly so long as you aren't in combat. It makes no sense.
Then you have holdover mechanics from Divinity that do almost nothing. Dipping weapons in surfaces, and 95% of surfaces in general, add nothing to the game. Which is strange because they add pools to spells like Chromatic Orb, but they don't matter because they will either be covered by blood or the enemy will leave the pool next turn before you can capitalize on it.
Something else I noticed that leaves me scratching my head is how sexualized some characters are, but then they will have them covered in dirt and filth, or unattractive looking. The biggest offenders are the druids Olodan and Nettie, who are wearing outfits that, on a female human, would be considered indecent at best, and Laezel, who is wearing nothing but her armor with a literal butt flap as her only bit of modesty. This doesn't even approach the fact that the entire roster of companions wants to fuck you after the first act.
In all, an average to below average game that seems to have grabbed the love of people by the balls for some reason I can't fucking discern.

honestly, niggercattle like it because of the gay bear joke but in reality, people have been waiting for decades after BG2, similar situation to hollow knight, course, it's not like they released a new divinity game either...
time to give BG3 a shot but with RPGHQ's gay away mods to have a decent experience similar to BG2 "real time".

Very likely not a diversity thing and more a budgeting thing. Lots of games where you can pick the PC's sex rig the character to the same skeleton so the whole character asset library isn't doubled. BG3 is already having to model a bunch of clothes to fit both a slight and brawny medium skeleton, plus the small creatures (I haven't paid enough attention to know if Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings all use the same skeleton, I think they do but I'm not sure). Adding realistic sexual dimorphism would be a LOT more work.
If you want a really good example of that tendency among western developers in action, look at the Mass Effect trilogy. It wasn't so noticeable in ME1 because everyone was wearing bulky space armor, but as the time frame EA gave them to develop each game shrank and as they moved away from ME1's aesthetic, FemShep starts looking more and more like a dude in drag. It's downright cartoonish in ME3, her whole appearance from the neck down is uncanny.

Got into a conversation a few pages ago about the "most thematically fitting" classes for Durge; surprisingly, Sorcerer and Barb were overall the best due to having more "villainous" dialogue options, though Oathbreaker and Warlock were good as well. Monk was apparently considered "tea brewing faggotry", I dunno, never ran it myself.
