Getting late into fads again.
Don't know if I have been sensitized to DEI... But that Karlach did not have to say many words when I had decided to cut that head off.
Just thought, oh no, no you fucking won't.

I'm wondering: do you reckon the modding scene for this game has made it worth playing yet?
The successor to the "Better Aesthetics" mod (no alphabets?) removes most of the woke.
, faggot gnomes
They're mostly two-faced terrorists too.
Good thing their small size makes them easy to throw.
Karlach did not have to say many words when I had decided to cut that head off.
They somehow made a repentant demonic cyborg seem too mundane due to her modern dialog. Not particularly woke, just a bit immersion breaking.
Most of the characters are insufferable sex pests.
One was trying to trade sex for protecting him, one is a egg laying space alien and the wizard was only like that due to a quickly patched bug.

The real pest is "the bear", who was only upgraded to a full companion due to pestering from terminally online redditors.

What the fuck?!
How did you go from discussing about cutting someone's head to calling them sex pests?

I wish we could kill the faggot gnomes and save Barcus, but sadly, it's an all or nothing scenario in Nere's scene.
One of the reasons I'm using Giant Barbarian, is so I can yeet all niggers, not just gnomes. Throwing people into hazards will never not be funny.

I'm guessing the trade sex for protection is Astarion.
I don't know because I never have and never will romance a dude in a game.
As for Halsin, one of the better changes the latter patches made was having Minthara on with knock out and having to choose between them. I never even used Halsin before and now I won't even have to look at his faggot face in camp.
Peak quality of life change!

Oh, and on an unrelated note, I usually pick Human when playing cRPGs, but in my latest playthrough, I chose a Drow and the experience is so much better. For better or worse, people react and you can answer back in kind. They call me a nigger drow, and I tell them I'll rape their corpse.
I ♥️racism!

modern dialog
That could have been what ticked me off.
Another character was that demon hunter.

Maybe it also reminded me of that one eye blind black woman from recent WoW "cinematic".
One eye blind, black, so good great amazing perfect guy that he teaches demon children how to survive and is a... demon hunter.

My first thought was I will not suffer this. It is going to be character that is better than me and everyone else around him all the time. That was the first vibe. Those characters sort of belong to BG games and the party dynamics, but this ticked too many boxes. And usually do-gooders got their faults but got weird feeling this one will have none.

Not this time tranny writers. I am a Paladin of vengeance god damnit.

He's hopefully naive about future consequences or whether devils would attempt to trick him.
He was gonna merk the afformentioned heroine just because a devil told her she was bad. He was willing to damn himself with an eternity of service to a devil just so his late middle aged father could survive a few more years.
Diabolical pacts, magical tricks and the being the spoilt son of a new nobleman fit a medieval fantasy setting unlike Karlach, who could have had 95% the same story if it was about the toll of a modern athlete's steroid abuse catching up on them.
Kind of reminds me of the horrendously woke, Whedenesque but still mechanically sound XCOM: Chimera Squad. They didn't tell the voice actress for the snake/naga alien that they weren't playing a normal woman.

Since we control a whole party, I never really put much weight on the gender of "my" avatar, different picks just unlock more of the story.
When playing "frog", I tried the vampire elf romance. It's actually an interesting exploration of how fear of being vulnerable leads to oppressing others.

Throw the little buggers in the water after the factory.

has the mod that de-turns this game finally got out of alpha? gives me hopium i won't have to deal with turn based cuckery to pirate a game about a bunch of sex pests.

I'd recommend a Dark Urge playthrough and ideally going in blind.
You are literally THE fag basher with that character.
Kinda funny they made it that way.

Late reply, but I think I'll give that a try; base Tav seems pretty boring regardless, so playing a fag basher Durge sounds fun.

Anyone got suggestions for a Solo Durge build, actually? I know stealth classes like Ranger and Rogue tend to be the meta, but what about something that "fits" an evil Durge character, like Oathbreaker Paladin?

You can make pretty much anything work. Durge has amnesia and suffers from violent intrusive thoughts, that feel like lines pulled straight out of American Psycho. It’s comical more than anything else and really isn’t to hard to roleplay as any role, just don’t take it seriously.

With that said if you wanted the most meta mc build do a bard with 1 point in cleric and wizard.

He has a lot of good build guides, if you can stomach the long meandering presentation.

Don't be a meta slave.
Pick whatever you want and enjoy.

There's no fit for Durge anyway, since if you long rest in the nautiloid region (right after picking Shadowheart) you'll get a Durge unique dialogue and you can select an option about your class, and it tells you how that class was used by Durge.

From what I experimented with, Lolth-sworn Drow, Duergar, Rogue, Sorcerer, Oathbreaker, Warlock, Barbarian, Cleric of evil god, they have evil flavour dialogue if you want to play that way.
Ranger and Druid have tree hugger options.
Monk has tea brewing faggotry.
Wizard is a big nerd.
Paladin has lawful faggotry options.
Bard is reddit personified.

I'm just talking about class/race specific dialogue that appears. In the end, you can choose anything, well, except Paladin, as some choices will break your gay ass oath.

Oh, believe me, I HATE having to play to metas; only reason why I brought it up is because I really don't have an idea of what to pick right now. I haven't exactly gone over all of BG3 yet; my prior run is still in Act 1, and my knowledge on the game is admittedly a bit thinner than what I'd like.

Also doesn't help that my typical gameplay strategy is "hit target with melee until it dies, don't bother with stealth/tactics (unless absolutely necessary)", regardless of class. Seriously, my prior class was a Druid, and my go-to startegy was still using melee and a crossbow as much as possible.

The Paladin Oath system in this game really is ridiculous; definitely feels like it was made to appeal to the Reddit/"Deconstructionist"/"Nothing is Sacred" crowd with how easy it is to break.

I'm thinking either Sorcerer or Barbarian for my class; the former because it's what the Durge canonically was, the latter because it fits well with my general playstyle. That said, I am a bit lost on actually roleplaying a Barbarian; my writing tends to focus on urban environments and characters, so writing up an admittedly badass warrior of the wilds is a bit out of my usual writing sphere. Meanwhile, Sorcerer is a bit easier to RP with, though I am wondering how it'll do in solo, possibly melee/ranged combat knowing my crazy ass...

Race is Dragonborn, both because it's also the canonical Durge race, and there's a surprising amount of fiction that has reptiles/dragons bashing fags and similar. No idea on the color/ancestry yet; none are really better or worse than the others - aside from Brass getting a straight line of fire while all other options are cones - so I guess... whichever ancestry/dragon element fits best with a fag-basher character, I guess?

EDIT: Added/changed some details

I get it.
As a long time RPG player, the hardest battle is with yourself and what to pick.
Sometimes I will try everything for like 2-3h, then make my mind, or I will look for a cool skill and build around it.
I'm the kind of nigga that really is all in on the rule of cool. Doesn't matter if it's "not optimal", I will make it work somehow, if it's cool enough.
In BG3 case, I like Hunger of Hadar, the lore behind it, the visuals, everything, so I decided to go Warlock.
Then, it was a choice what to multiclass, and I settled on Paladin, broke my Oath at the hag and went Oathbreaker. Honestly, this class is worth it just to speak with the Oathbreaker Knight in your camp. I like the voice acting and the story behind him.
Btw, this is my current run, in Honour Mode.

When I finished the game on release, I did it with a Wild Magic Sorcerer and it was crazy fun. At 11, you can trigger Wild Magic as a reaction on an enemy spell and some fights where truly crazy, with cambions around or people turned into cats. The early levels were rather bland, so be warned. I also don't recommend this shitposting class in Honour Mode though.

Go monoclass Eldritch Knight.
At level 11 you will hit 4 times per round without Haste/Bloodlust.
The downside is that Fighter has little to no flavour dialogue.
Another option would be Paladin + Shadow Sorcerer, 6/6 or 8/4, and SMITE niggers in your Darkness cloud.

Barbarian Durge is easy to RP as.
You are already an unhinged lunatic, and you channel your rage (at whoever put you on the nautiloid) to bash your enemies.
For real, some Durge dialogue is very unhinged, like yelling "BASH YOU! EAT YOU! FLAY" at some characters.

If you go Dragonborn, pick whatever, but if you're going evil run, remember that chromatic dragons (red, black) are the evil ones and the metalic ones (gold, silver) are good.
If I were to choose, the default White one is the best.

That's my usual strategy; I get an idea I find cool, and I make a build around it. Or at least try to; like I said, I pretty much always end up going for a melee build, regardless of what my original intention was. Really need to get a grip on that...

Btw, this is my current run, in Honour Mode.

Need to make an Honor Mode build for myself; I'll try and do that after running through BG3 a few times, figure out what classes I like and such.

I admit that I was thinking about monoclassing more, but I'll try and find something that I like regardless. EK sounds like fun; I'll give it a look, even though it doesn't have much in the way of class dialogue.

Given that a friend of mine tends to go for Metallic Dragonborn Lawful Good Paladins as his favorites, an Evil Chromatic Dragonborn sounds like it's both fun and fitting.

I'll monkey around a bit, figure out which classes I like to run; I admit that melee/ranged is my usual playstyle for everything, but it'll be nice to branch out.

EDIT: Added some stuff

I didn't want to play it until they added mods. Now I have a small army of party members equipped with lightsabers and force powers. All is right with the world.

Why i dont play BG3, and no modding.

I see some faggot posting Varg, and I immediately know I'm dealing with someone who's more worthless then a cum tissue.

Same energy as some aids redditor, who instead of speaking his own thoughts and ideas, gives you a video or link and smugly says "watch/read this". A coward, hiding behind a proxy and what he perceives as an authority figure.

You are nigger cattle, in the truest sense of the word.
