What's a decent alternative class for Lazeal? I want something different for my final run of the game but Battle Master is almost too good, nothing else measurea up in terms of power.
2 levels fighter for action surge
10 levels open hand monk choose tavern brawler and any other feat and kill anything

What is he even going on about?
I read that a couple times and still think someone needs to collect their grandpa, he needs his medication and a nap.

Reminds me though, there was a clickbait article about a comment he made when someone asked him what he thought about a couple characters from Arcane -

Depends if you care about role playing or not, and by that I mean if you care for your companion's classes to make sense in world.
If so, for her, a Vengence Paladin + Gloom Stalker Ranger works and makes sense.
If you don't care for such things, you can go balls to the walls crazy shit like Thief Rogue+Swords Bard+Hexblade

Game is easy and you can make almost anything work, because 5e is shallow. Larian tried (with items and certain effects), but, build complexity is very low, compared to autism fiestas like Pathfinder or PoE.

Bear sex man says he is not virtue signalling, he just wants to be wyte savior of bri'ish excellence.

Yeah I reread that thing Dave Jones posted and granted I feel like I'm missing a whole bunch of context, but it kinda sounds like he's trying to tell his fanbase how to be?
Which is awfully arrogant for someone to act toward people whose only relationship with him is that they like his voice acting.
Plus "We're bad but by no means as fucking shit as the US."
As an American, I am offended.
Sure we have problems but fuck off with that.

Is it just me or is the bladesong climax extremely overturned? Just getting in three melee attacks, an east feat at low levels, gives you an AoE heal for 4d6 health points. That seems like a lot for level two.
It falls off hard, which is the problem. Really huge power spike then, but it doesn't scale as the game progresses.

Abjuration wizard remains the laughably overpowered choice

Decided to murder the guild today and found a secret vault room in 9-fingers office. There was just generic loot but it was cool since I never saw this before.

Started a fresh playthrough after not having touched the game in over a year.

All the new sub-classes sound really boring and I'm very disappointed that they did nothing when it comes to recruiting Minthara (while playing a good character). This wouldn't be nearly as bad if raiding the grove was a viable option, but it just locks you out of so much content it's absurd.

Toggle non-lethal attacks, beat her ass, and then leave her alive. It still credits you as having defeated her for the chapter quest. You can even fully loot her so she'll show up in her skivvies in front of Ketheric. Tell him to spare her, go down to the prison and recruit her. You only miss out on the sex scene that would take place at the party.

I really need to hop back into this game sooner or later; never even fully completed my first run, much less my "Dirge" or "Kill Everyone" playthroughs.

I'm disappointed they haven't introduced new dialogue that would let you recruit her as a good character. Nobody outside of people reading guides or hearing about it from other players is going to know that you need to get flagged as hostile, knock her out and then she appears a chapter later somehow willing to join your party. And even she ends up occupying the same camp space as Halsin, with their tents clipping into each other.

It's janky as fuck and handled poorly.

Used to be she would appear completely naked in Moonrise if you took all her gear. But we can't have that in our mature rated video game.

Me too. I started my second playthrough quite a while ago but haven't played since, even though I really want to get back to it. Other games have just been keeping my attention. I also still need to do my Durge playthrough at some point.

For my first runthrough, I planned on mostly just going through the game, focusing more on simply beating it; my party was going to be Tav, Gale, Shadowheart, and Wyll, the latter three in their base classes. Granted, I have no idea if that's really a great party comp at this point - been a while since I checked - and I also got no idea on what class my Tav should end up being. Any suggestions for a build and/or team comp is appreciated.

For Dirge, I'm going to be running him as a Swords Bard for the obvious joke, preferably a "Resist"/good ending. Again, not sure on the party composition.

Lastly, for the "Kill Everyone" challenge, I'm going to shake a few things up; namely, running a solo Strength Fighter build, rather than the stealth one that's typically used. Not entirely sure if I'll end up killing literally everyone in the game - mostly focused on the admittedly large amount of fags and similar, though given my questionable stealth capabilities it's liable to result in me pissing off literally everyone regardless, so... Background is also unconfirmed; tempted to run Haunted One for the "evil" bonuses, but some of the other backgrounds also sound like fun RP options for the "evil" knight.

I finished this game with a custom character on release.
Now, I'm going in blind with a Durge on Honour Mode.
The bosses with extra stuff present a nice challenge, but nothing to be scared of, if you're capable of reading and adapting. The game is still easy, especially if you've done it before.
On the other hand, not knowing anything about Durge and not being able to save scum and roll with the dice, made for some interesting moments.
I'm also trying the new classes and doing meme shit, like having two clerics doing Command:Approach on Spike Growth, from two opposing sides, or punching niggers with a bottle of alcohol.

I saw this on steam sale and I'm wondering: do you reckon the modding scene for this game has made it worth playing yet? I mean Baldur's Gate 1, SoA, ToB are all fantastic; I'm still feeling torn on if this can be rectified into something on par.

Based on that picture no amount of mods will make it "worth playing"

if you liked the combat and general humor of Divinity Original Sin 2 you'll like BG3, it's very similar just with even more romance stuff, as everyone and their mother will try to jump your bones an hour into the game. Don't compare it to BG1/2 as you're guaranteed to be disappointed.

Honestly, this is insignificant and just petty clickbait.
There is no DLC, there is no MTX, there's full mod support and the game has been supported and improved for years.
Lets look at facts, and not what some random "dev" or contributor has to say years after the fact.

The older games were made by different people and in a different time.
This game was made during "modern times" and it's a WoTC product, the same corporation who's trying to push DnD with characters in wheelchairs or whatever rainbow faggots.
The game has pozzed elements, nobody can deny that. It has a drag queen, faggot gnomes, dykes, infamous bear sex and whatnot.
Yet, despite all that, it is still a good, if not great, game underneath. Also worth mentioning that all that pozzed shit is optional and you can kill them all, especially as a Durge who's not resisting.
The combat is fun and the character build options are plenty.
If you're on the fence, simply wait it out until it drops to a price you won't regret buying it. Or pirate that shit.

This is true.
Writing and character wise, the older games are better, but that's about it. I don't know about you, but I want some gameplay and graphics in my games and BG3 offers that.
If I wish for incredible story and compelling characters, I'll read a book.

I would've liked that the game had some option to go "no homo". I enjoy some romance in cRPG, but with women, not aggressive and thirsty fags. The only saving grace is that the dialogue flags are easy to spot and you can nip that shit in the bud before it becomes a problem.
As for the comedy, some of it is reddit tier, but that's always been a staple of Larian games. i should know, because I played most of them, before they got famous with DOS.

Completely missed the point. I think its funny that the bint that owes her career to fan influence is saying they had no impact on the game. And then the devs sweeping behind her and saying otherwise.
