Probably closer than you think. Hasbro owns Archetype studios, with many ex-bioware devs.I know it's unlikely but the funniest outcome would be BioWare. Imagine what a dumpster fire it would be.

Guess we have found our developer.Probably closer than you think. Hasbro owns Archetype studios, with many ex-bioware devs.
The only two I could see making it would be Obsidian or Inxile. Owlcat is too tiny to handle the project and no other company really has experience in making CRPGS like this. So basically Baldur's Gate 4 is most likely going to be Pillars of Eternity 3 or a reskinned Wasteland unless WOTC goes full retard and gives it to Bethesda or Ubisoft or something.I wonder who they'll get to make the game.
Inexile's been busy with a thing iirc. One sec.The only two I could see making it would be Obsidian or Inxile. If Obsidian isn't freaking out about the tepid reaction from avowed and making sure it isn't shit then it's also doomed
But as usual, Hasbro is hilariously incompetent. Instead of getting them to build a new BG/IWD/NN game, Hasbro is making a Mass Effect clone.Probably closer than you think. Hasbro owns Archetype studios, with many ex-bioware devs.
Sorry forgot to quote you. I don't think Obsidian is going to do anything outside their IP. And rumors were inxile were going to get to do a Fallout game since MS acquired Zenimax. The only two I could see making it would be Obsidian or Inxile. If the profits for Exodus went to anyone but Hasbro, I'd be excited about it. The graphics and story seem excellent, and all of Bioware's games have had great gameplay/optimisation.Instead of getting them to build a new BG/IWD/NN game, Hasbro is making a Mass Effect clone.
It's also fun from a roleplay perspective, Paladin oaths incentivise you to go down routes that would be otherwise be suboptimal and bards have a lot of fun dialog options and skills.Really enjoying my half-orc Swords Bard run, I was going to do a pure run but I realized I kind of wanted better weapon proficiencies and maybe even the possibility of wearing heavy armour and upon thinking it over, took 2 levels of OoV Paladin and it hits. I'm level 8 doing easily 100+ damage per slot of Divine Smite- this is in the Shadow-Cursed Lands with Divine Sense and whatnot tacked on, with that being said, but fuck.
2/10 Bardlock is IMHO the best non-solo build in the game. You picked well. Just remember to not leave The dinosaur jungle until you find that ring. It's definitely not a build leaning on pure optimization, but I'm having fun.
Now you see why I take a few months between characters. I like being surprised, even to the point of installing a loot randomiser.I was thinking it's be dull since I've done this stuff before, but then my shitty memory saved me.

Ignoring Hasbro, I think it's too early to say, I don't think there's anything more than cinematic trailer. Beside, I don't think there was any good game made by ex-Bioware people. If the profits for Exodus went to anyone but Hasbro, I'd be excited about it. I've been basically salivating like a feral animal thinking about what that ring will do for my build, I will absolutely not forget it, glad our minds went to the same place! It's funny because I don't tend to use guides but I feel like simply trying not to make any given invented build MAD kind of channels you into the known OP builds- I was telling a friend about my 2/10 build and he was like, ''Oh, what guide did you use?'' SMH and here I was, thinking I made something up.2/10 Bardlock is IMHO the best non-solo build in the game. You picked well. Just remember to not leave The dinosaur jungle until you find that ring.
He wasn't, sex is a manipulation tactic to him. But continuing the romance leads to a beautiful story of reform and healing.Romanced Astarion somehow, I didn't even think he was that into my Tavitha but okay. Now I feel dirty. Might friendzone him later.
In my last game he was my little murder gremlin bestie. It worked out fine. If I have to deal with much more flirty dialog I might sell him to Satan for a corn chip... wait that's Gortash's backstory. Might have to get creative then.He wasn't, sex is a manipulation tactic to him. But continuing the romance leads to a beautiful story of reform and healing.
Fun fact, on the Forgotten Realms wiki, there are only 11 phrases/words listed in their Gnim (gnomish) dictionary. Two of those are words for "gay" and "transgender". Even in a fictional language no one cares about, the alphabets must be acknowledged. The only heterosexual gnome in Sword Coast appears to be my Durge.
How dare you play your class correctly and have fun doing it.I am finally trying to slowly but surely get into my first solo playthrough. Just after the game released 1.0 I played with 3 other friends, played a rogue Tiefling thief, stole some good stuff for my party, took mobility perks and constantly used high ground and sneak attacks with bows.
Long story short, they got increasingly frustrated with me hanging back and sniping at people, cause that would mean their characters would get focused harder and not "spread the damage" across all 4 of us. Eventually I just stood right next to them the whole time, dying over and over so they could have their fun and quit after clearing the goblin camp, venturing into the swamp and killing the evil druid woman in the grove or whatever. They finished the whole game without me, but it definitely soured my experience and made me unwilling to play the game until now.
Yeah, since we played 4 custom characters we got completely locked out of the companion storylines. So far I am enjoying being a thieving, swindling rat.Fun fact, on the Forgotten Realms wiki, there are only 11 phrases/words listed in their Gnim (gnomish) dictionary. Which honestly, for gnomes, is especially strange seeing as back in AD&D lore they had literal church funded breeding festivals.

For real though, the single player experience is far better. Hopefully you have a great time experiencing the game on your own terms.
