Funny bug I ran into. Did Iron Throne without Wyll. Saved everyone. Afterwards, Wyll wanted to speak with me and he was acting like we were still there:

"Um, Wyll? Your father is standing right over there. He is fine."

I should have just picked "Leave." and seen what happens.

"Yeah, yeah. Going to walk literally five steps away and 'save' your father who is still standing right over there..."

I'm doing an honor mode run, not some evil guy either. Vengeance paladin 2/Blade bard x (which I did in table top years ago) and since I don't remember a lot of story stuff I've just decided that killing what I deem evil at the drop of the hat is the best idea. It's really fun just being a blind warrior of golden destruction in that game.

Haven't fallen either.

I will say this, for the super hard toughest in the world mode in the game, it's really not that hard. I kind of suck at video games too. I felt like I had been long resting too much but then checked and I have something like 3000+ camp supplies left.

Question, if someone were to go solo or have all of their party members die before the final cutscene, but the player befriended Volo, would there be a reunion party scene?

There seems to be many people online talking about starting a solo run, but nobody talks about finishing one, so no info there. I'm tempted to ruin my Honour Mode game and start allowing my comrades to perish just to see what happens. Very tempted.

And yes, Volo isn't actually invited to the party, and it doesn't make sense for Withers to plan a party with no invites. Deep in my heart I want to believe I can have one lonely soldier drinking solo with Volo.

Do I do Iron Throne before or after I finish Daughter of Darkness? Is there some consistency to which quests I need to do first or can I do them whenever I feel like it?

I've not yet finished the murder cases investigation yet I've agreed to duel the murderous daughter of Bhaal as the dark urge after I kill the other guy with the stone. I also told Wyll to sacrifice his father and now some people are angry at me, can I still save him? Also do I keep Mizora in the camp or should I kick her? She seems to only stir the pot and not actually help with anything.

Doing Iron Throne will immediately piss off Gortash and make the entirety of Wyrm's Rock hostile, so only do that if you're okay with clearing the fortress soon afterwards. Otherwise, the order does not really matter beyond influencing the cutscenes.

can I still save him?
You can, just be prepared to fight off some suicide bombing spiders before he gets his first turn.

Fought the hag last night and it as a real struggle as she spawned more duplicates each time I used magic. Her clones might be illusions but the damage and disruption they cause isn't. Let Marianna out before the fight so skipped the persuade check.

Then I did the underdark boat fight. First time I used two warlocks with repelling blast to give the stunties swimming lessons. Easy victory.

I taskkilled BG3.exe and refought it conventionally. That psionist was a bitch to fight against as he could mind control one of mine until they took damage(pommel strike works). Take down the grenadier alchemist too as his bombs might push you into the water.

Other than the leader and chest, none of them have decent loot, but the fun and challenge was more than worth not bypassing it with a simple dialogue check.

The hardest part of the boat fight is ironically trying to make sure none of your own party ate shit due to being pushed off.

For anyone who's played through the origin characters and a custom tav - is there any interesting additional content you get by playing them that makes it worth it? I know divinity 2 original sins had a lot of cool stuff if you played as the origins.

Not really. Tav's more like the vanilla playthrough. Origins get a few perks that Tav doesn't get but apparently Gale's the one that gets special treatment. He gets Tara in camp, a good ending if he gets turned into a mindflayer, and something special in act 2.

Karlach's origin has new voiced lines, I definitely recommend playing as her Origin if you like her character. Gale gets Tara encounters which is cool, but I missed the stellar voice acting too much and lost interest in that run, I still haven't picked it back up to finish it. Durge is technically an Origin run and I would absolutely recommend someone have a go at it at least once, preferably not as a first run though.

I'm pretty sure you get voiced conversations with Shar as Shart in Act 2 as well. (Something which you'd only catch hints of as a regular Tav/other origins tagging along) Lae'zel and Astarion might be the only one who doesn't really get special stuff beyond perhaps, better insight into their respective things.

Who is Tara?

Starting on my Karlach run now, I'll see what the differences are.

Can confirm.

There's a few cutscenes from Shart's POV that you don't get to see from other player's POVs, like Shar punishing her if you spare the Nightsong:

Also, if you respec Shart and make her a Paladin, then the game acknowledges you as a [PALADIN OF SHAR], which is interesting considering I picked Devotion:

Interactions with Isobel are retailored for Shart as well:

If you have enough approval from Lae'zel, she actually comforts you after you abandon Shar:

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see if there was anything special Viconia had to say after I defeated her since the game bugged out.
She basically started talking to my Shart as if she was Tav:

Another heartwarming high approval Lae'zel moment.
When you talk with Lae'zel as Shadowheart during the epilogue, she has this to say to you:

Very wholesome, indeed. They started at each others throats, and end up becoming friends.
