A redditor loses their Durge honour run at the epilogue party.
Ok, funny thing about this, you DO get a special cutscene which transitions into end game credits in this scenario. I just replicated this to test.

As a Mindflayer at the reunion one random interaction will end with a propmt to do a save, else you attempt to eat that character (This time it was Wyll). After the attempt, everyone (except your romanced companion) will aggro. The battle only lasts as long as it takes for ONE character to KO. Then Withers shuts it all down. Cutscene. Credits.

All this guy had to do was down ONE character.

Side note, the whole party was wailing on Gale instead of my PC during my battle. The woman causes problems and the man gets punished for it, so sad. A least Gale was defending his squid-wife's right to assault negroes.

Is this the patch 6 softlock people are talking about?
Nope, the Patch 6 softlock is in the Gauntlet of Shar

Requires 3 gems, but only recognizes 1.

Ok, I felt major shame for leaving a question unanswered. Just reloaded the appropriate save file, did the Viconia battle (Which was less awful than I remembered but still not fun),
I only beat the fight my first go around because her AI bugged out. Since you can't attack her directly without initiating dialogue because she has sanctuary, I decided to have durge Greater Invisibility himself past her dialogue trigger. It didn't activate and so I stood off to the side and pelted her with fireballs. This didn't aggro anyone in the temple, including her, and she eventually died and all the other members just stood around like "oh shit someone killed her that sucks"
Anyone else encounter this bug? It was pretty funny.

Edit: Just remembered I took a screenshot of the aftermath.

Looks like you're playing Wild Sorc. What funny stories do you have to tell?

Only one comes to mind right now but it's pretty fuckin good.
It's Durge, right, so I'm about to do the duel with Orin. She transforms into the slayer right, and Durge tries to get her with Hold Monster so he can whale on her while she's helpless. Except the wild magic procs and polymorphs Durge into a sheep. So you see these two disciples of bhaal squaring off, one transforms into a big scary beastie and the other transforms into a fuckin fluffy little sheep.

To add insult to injury, turning into a sheep SOMEHOW broke the rules of the duel, so all the cultists rushed in and beat the shit out of Durge immediately afterwards.

I don't know how I won that fight.

I want to do HM as a pure Wild Sorc. Also pair with Gale and turn him into a Divinity subclass Wizard.

I ended up restarting my HM run because I didn't have Laezel and didn't know the gnolls could also trigger the nighttime visitor.

So basically super random balanced by rerolls

At the start, they stood back to see who was truly favoured by Bhaal, your mishap made them certain it wasn't you.

I’m just starting my first campaign. Gonna go with balanced this run to enjoy the story, then probably a Durge and Honor. I’m drawn to Half or Full Woof Wood Elf Circle of Land Druid for RP, or some type of Bard (prob High Half/ Elf or Tief) for the high CHA to get the most dialogue. Open to comments and suggestions!

I think starting at balanced is a great idea if you want to focus on the story, and I would keep a Durge playthrough for a subsequent run, so I'm with you when it comes to the track you're contemplating! The most fun I've had playing the game was doing a resist Durge open-handed monk with 3 levels in thief, and she was half wood elf for the extra mobility- it was a really fun build and the background fit the story.
I think that unless you're doing a first honour run/a solo run, you shouldn't worry too much about min-maxing and should just go with whatever character sounds most appealing, and there are always subsequent playthroughs to get autistic with your build. You can also respec infinitely for a low price (which you can pickpocket back with no repercussions) so you are not married to your class. AFAIK there is no way to change your race, though.
I will say that the Charisma classes (Bard, Sorcerer, Paladin, Warlock) can make the game much easier, but I wouldn't necessarily say you get a lot more dialogue. You will be more comfortable when passing checks though, and if not, there is also something to be said about following where the die roll will take you so don't feel locked into it if it doesn't appeal to you. A halfling 1 sorc/1 cleric/10 lore bard party face is amazing for honour mode (that's what I did anyway) and makes sticky situations harder to walk into due to its amazing proficiencies/expertises, so if it were me and I were trying to optimize my playthroughs, I would probably save the bard for my HM run and explore something else for now.
Drow characters get what feels like the most unique interactions in Act 1 though it dries up after a while, so that's something to consider on a subsequent run.
In case you're trying to experience something new from what the game gives you, and feel free to ignore this part if you want for it to be a surprise or if it isn't a factor in your decision-
High half-elf cleric
High elf rogue
Human wizard
Githyanki fighter
Human warlock
Tiefling barbarian
Wood elf druid
Drow paladin
High half-elf druid
Human Ranger

I made it about 8 minutes into that video before it gave me horrible motion sickness. Is this what the kids today are watching?
I still finished it, but I had to look away a lot.
Yeah that’s Max0r signature.
Literally induced ADHD epileptic mixture of editing style.

I mean, Cassia pretty much owns all BG3 companions. Girl just blinks and half of the enemies get blasted. Than she gives another companion a turn. Totally not broken, gills are a feature not a bug.

Abelard, give this man a nice handshake.

I really do try to avoid tumblr since it makes me lose brain cells, but sometimes I go there and see things like art titled "Cazador Szarr At Ihop Not Impressed By Any Offerings On The Menu" and I start to think maybe a brain cell or two might be a fair exchange.

Unrelated - Some small part of me is now convinced that the song A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman is actually about Durgetash but got put in the wrong piece of media.
