I really dont like her face, very manly and chiseled so instead of trad she would be a chad?...i am not overly familiar with drow femal facial features but she is kind of that uncanny valley. I rather have the frog who is borderline comical, the King of Pop nose cracks me up every-time.
In older editions they actually had significant sexual dimorphism, with the females being bigger and stronger than the males.

Adding on to this, all of the Underdark-themed subraces (Deep gnomes, Grey Dwarves, Dark elves) are supposed to be shorter than their surface counterparts, with a more lean-muscle type builds. Drow women are an exception to that rule.

So "Drow women are bigger and stronger than the men" actually means "Drow men peak at 5ft tall but can still wreck you as long as mommy says it's ok first"

I should have looked into the plot before I bought the game. I just fucking finished Cyberpunk 2077 and now I'm in a whole different genre and setting and I have Johnny Silverhand in my fucking head again.

Big, open world game + clock ticking death sentence does not make for good immersion.

For once my group's perception was good and they noticed the floor had acid.
Did that stop them from walking right into it? Nope!
Earlier they cheerily walked into an explosive trap that had been clearly identified as such so I'm not sure what I was expecting out of them.

Sometimes the lighting is just so and Astarion reminds me of Anthony Bourdain.
I miss Anthony Bourdain. He was cool. I like to think he wouldn't have knowingly walked into acid like a dumbass.

Yes thats the area i went the Wemod way, after much tries and wanting to feed every prisoner to the sharks i decided its not worth my time and i cheated that whole area. Went almost ballistic when Wyll`s lady demon showed up and went: Teehee i am gonna be a sore loser....fuck you.
I got super lucky with that. I had SH spirit Guardias active and had her nearby because I was going to use Sanctuary on the guy, but the spiders spawned with her range and they just took damage than blew themselves and each other up. After that, dude just ran through the Arcane Gate and got on the ship.

Mizora wasn't an issue for me since I didn't break Wyll's contract, she instead helped Ravengard by Hasting him and I was able to get him out in a few Dashes.

Also, here's a general question for everyone because I'm curious and know you eventually have to choose: Emperor or Orpheus?

@Johan Hulth
Well thats a fucking shame, it sounds a million times more compelling than what we got and in my opinion Warlock is a great class for a conman/charlatan type of character.
Speaking of changes from early access: I heard Alfira was meant to be a companion but was cut in favour of Halsin, that annoyed me since the final game has two god damned druid companions yet no bard or monk companions (and guess sorceror but eh thats the dark urge's class).
Still, I am hopeful that this game will get some effort mods that add companions, fully voices ones thanks to the power of AI

Orpheus, never trust a Ghaik, EVER.
Seriously
I was expecting Orpheus to smite me on the spot the second I released him, mainly because of the emperor' s constant nagging that it is such an awful idea and the githyanki generally being pricks, yet Orpheus proven to be one of the more agreeable and nicer characters
It is a shame I skipped the creche on my first playthrough, missing Voss storyline entirely and only learning more about the prince of the comet via books.

I thought about pirating this game originally but decided to buy it. Glad I did. Kind of felt bad pirating from an independent developer; feels better when I'm keeping profit away from board of directors and other corporate interests.

There is a mod that remoces both Minthara and Shadowheart's JoJo manjaws. Astarion approves, he doesn't like Joestars.
Alot of ppl still shitting on the game
calling it woke garbage

but lets be honest
had Larian increase the female character's chest size by 1-2 cup sizes (maybe 3)
noone would complain
They likely didn't want to bother making a separate model for every armour type.

The underwear removes the genitals, but the tits are always modelled. Larian didn't make a dyanmic clothing that would accomodate the clothes, so the tits would just clip through thr chestplate.

I am okey with this. B cups are a fine tradeoff for not having fattie bodie types.

Nothing wrong with it. Pirating is a demo. It shows you if a game is worth buying. I pirated the beta and felt the game was worth a buy, and Larian didn't Dawn of war 3 me over, it was.

Xbox version has a serious save bug right now. Its hit both me (8 hours lost) and my wife (6 hours lost) on 2 separate Microsoft accounts.

Larian puts out this tweet:

The issue is that Xbox hasnt actually done a system update yet, so people are just waiting for that.

The bug seems to be with Xbox cloud saves, and how the cloud saves are getting "full" and then overwriting previous saves. Its also not after a crash, but it may be related to the Xbox quick resume feature. Its a real bummer, I am enjoying the game immensely, but I am going to wait until this is actually patched out.

I can sympathize, I had to start over a few times due to crashes nuking saves on PC. Fortunately the last one only affected about 90 minutes of progress which was mostly tying up loose ends in the grymforge after doing all the major stuff.

BG3 isn't open world and the tadpole isn't the ticking time bomb it's made out to be.

Correct. Withers even tells you that Mindflayers have no souls. They're basically fleshy computers that hack other living creatures and turn them into more fleshy computers.

Also, this:

I haven't lost any saves, but my game mostly crashes when several things load at once. In particular, when I'm about to go into a dialogue with someone at Moonrise or Last Light Inn. Act III's Lower City is also an absolute mess, and I need to turn all my video settings at the lowest possible just to walk a couple feet without a crash. This becomes especially egregious when I approach the Elfsong Tavern since there's a ton of NPCs in that area.

Orpheus. Honestly, before the reveal, I thought Orpheus was the Dream Warrior. And while the initial Act 3 reveal didn’t turn me on the Emperor at first, all the constant lies and the big reveal at the end of Wylll’s quest really convinced me he was gonna turn on me the second it was convenient to him.

Plus, I’m pretty sure Lae’zel would have turned on me had I allowed Orph to die

That one Mind Flayer from the SoB is pretty chill though. I like him.

So since I ended up triggering that bug where you can actively date both Shadowheart and Lae’zel at the same time, I ended up checking out the epilogue to see if it carried over(originally I took myself out for spoiler reasons), and as it turns out, it does carry over to the epilogue. So I have officially needed on a harem ending.

The one where someone points out how weird some people are treating the “Ascended” route like it’s the morally just and best decision for Astarion ever…

… and the exact type of person they’re describing writes a 5k word rant on why him becoming a heartless vampire killer is actually super validating and how problematic it is that anyone considers it evil.

Christ i hope they leave neil alone. Dude doesn't need the crazy fans to bother him.

Game looks like a lot of fun. I saw shenpai playing it and there's some old lady in a home with a girl and the lady is this big monster thing underneath. Terrifying.

How difficult is the game because my understanding is that its like Nintendo hard

Depends on how familiar you are with D&D 5e. The ruleset it uses is modified from the current tabletop, but I haven't been having much trouble with the encounters until just now when the tollkeeper boss in Act 2 nearly pushed my shit in and I only won by the skin of my teeth after having the entire party turned into statues save for the wizard. I'm also playing at the highest difficulty (honour mode) which allows no save scumming/reloading. If you do get it, avoid this thread and other discussion because you will get spoiled, and going in blind is a lot of the fun.
