I checked out VGCats for the first time in forever and am genuinely mystified as to what the fuck this is supposed to be.

I wanted to talk about him for a while, mostly due to how his content (in my honest opinion) is some of the most repetitive shit. Like, half of the time it's just "look guys! i made a dead meme into an anime girl! LAUGH.". You get what I mean?

IDK, its more fast-food content, I'll enjoy it in small pieces. Its basically harmless, its like Isabella and Doom,where's the problem? But I can understand if its not to someone's liking. What about his Clinic of Horror stuff?

I honestly like the more linear narrative focus when it comes to the Clinic of Horror, either that or the sometimes interesting concepts put into it.
 
I am filled by both delight and dread when I see this thread get new replies.

I didn't even know who Merryweather is even though it seems I've seen his stuff before. His art his competent if a little fap-centric, so there's got to something going on with his narratives or him personally to really warrant discussion in this thread. I mean there the gay furry cubist pet-play comic that was inflicted on us previously.
 
How come webcomics seem to be getting worse? I remember when they were good. Either that, or I matured and they were always bad.

Its both, combined with outrage culture sucking the humor & joy from everything.

Additionally, the bottom dropping out of the small-and-midscale Ad market means that webcomicing as a part-time income isn't really an viable option anymore, which means there is just less quality coming in. All the talented folks who would have done webcomics twenty years ago are doing Instagram/Youtube/twitch shit now instead.

Other stuff in there as well about it being harder to break new ground, higher res raising the entry level a bit, the death of print, and shortening of attention spans.

Combo that with you being old and totally lame now.
