I have a few shitty tattoos that I'm planning to get removed. They're just flowers and they don't look bad, but getting them at all was a dumbass unmedicated ADHD moment.

Years ago, my roommate came home with tattoos she didn't tell me she was planning to get, totally stoked about them. Very awkward conversation to have explaining the misspelling, I've never seen someone run back to their car so fast.

An acquaintance is a decade plus Sober. I capitalized that because it's his identity, and just about everyone I know who's sober is Sober, if you catch my drift. I know a lot of Sober people and the thing they all have in common is they are forever addicts. It might not be drugs or alcohol anymore, but it will be a different substance, a behavior, something else they are consuming, an all-consuming hobby.
No offense to anyone who's kicked a habit before. If this hits a little close to home, I hope your replacement habit is a constructive one.
Anyway , this one acquaintance got a tattoo to celebrate being one year sober, then another to commemorate the passing of his grandma. Now twice a year he gets a new tat. He's the tattooed man. At least they are very nice quality but Jesus.
All that to say that I find the semicolon tattoo to be pretty wild. So you're commemorating self harm by self harming? Commemorating the end of one addiction with another?

Addicts are addicts whether or not they’re using. They aren’t addicts because they use; they use because they’re addicts. They’re always going to need something to be getting up to.

That said, I find sobriety marker tattoos tacky. It reeks of cockiness. One slip in vigilance and that sobriety date can reset. Now they’re 4 months clean with a tattoo that says “15 years.”

Found these on the timeline on one of Xitter burners

I'd never get a tattoo myself, but this is pretty cool. But I'm not sure how good it's going to look in a couple of years.
Yeah, my main feeling around this is that it's probably going to age really badly.

Stuttering Bomb Melendez got a tattoo. It's supposed to look like the left pic.

And yes....................he's very proud of it. :story:

Ignore the red lines as it's from someone's stream comparing the disaster.
