Watched gameplay of this game, it looks like the frozen spaghetti of Left 4 Dead: Same nutrients, same idea, but no passion, flavor, or spice. This game looks bland.
 
1.03 patch dropped today and boy oh fucking boy. It's the Deathblow to this Game.

With just ONE patch, Turtle Rock has proven that they are responsible for all their failures and Valve truly was the reason why Left 4 Dead is fun.

The Circus.

The patch notes: Jesus Christ.


Highlights.
- Increased Boss Strength/ slowdown on hit removed for special infected.
Breakers are already run ruiners. On Veteran and Nightmare , Armored Breakers are just a big fuck you that hops across the map.
Ogres get MORE HP and take less damage from shooting their weakspots.
Hockers, those little machinegun shits? No longer get stunned when you shoot them.

-Infinite Enemies on EDIT: BAD SEEDS , Nightmare Difficulty.
For those who don't know- Bad Seeds sucks. Ridden from every possible angle. I confused it with Abandoned because it's technically the same fucking map from a different angle.

- Weaker players overall.
- Weaker Money Gathering Powers
-Melee nerfed into the GROUND.
Melee was only broken and powerful when you had ALL the cards in the right situation. Now that situation will never occur because they nerfed EACH AND EVERY PART OF THE COMBO INTO OBLIVION.
The Hard Work- Huge Payoff Class is now All Risk - No Reward.

-There is now no possible way to avoid Trauma Damage.

Oh and if you want to be one of those shitty speed runners? Guess you gotta go grind Job 10:22... with the new stronger special infected lmao.

I wanted to love this game.
 
Save it for a game that loves you back, not the videya equivalent of drunken white trash that beats you because he loves you.
Oh, don't worry. I quit this game the moment that patch dropped, and I only got it through Gamepass. Once it became apparent that updates are going to be driven by internal statistics instead of feedback from the Player Base, I realized this was just Anthem all over again and moved on.

Same. I wanted so much for this game to be good, and I thought it still could be with some tweaks... until the update hit. Is there anything more retarded than "data driven" game balance?

I was having fun, warts and all, with Holly and Doc on Recruit. The game with melee and coin builds allowed me to play in a way most games wouldn't - a berserker or an economist. So naturally, they nerfed them to the point of being completely unusable.
 
I hardly feel inspired to buy this game

Ungodly amounts of Bloom
Lacks the details of the source engine and Valve
Weird Call of Duty gun sound affects
Weirdly cartoony enemies
Health bars on enemies
Weirdly bright

And the new game about aliens looks to have the same issues.

The health bars above enemies are actually a card effect, with the only expectation being the three big bosses. Trust me, the actual gameplay with its AWFUL grind and (thanks to the update) horribly underpowered abilities make for a repetitive slog where the fun that is there dies as you squeeze the blood from the stone in hopes that maybe, just maybe, you'll eventually be allowed to unlock something you want.

The price. Holy cow what were these idiots smoking?
 
The complete lack of things things to jump on also makes it look crappy. Kiting the tank with parkour is a key part of the formula.

The important part for me is no change to melee combat at all. It is nice that they are fixing the game, but still... I miss Holly The Tank.
It's... a start. Special spawn limit is long overdue. Still no Tallboy nerf that I saw.

Hey, maybe if they finally fix more issues that should have been taken care of in beta, it'll be worth a purchase in 3-4 years at 50% during a Steam sale.
 
Burn Cards are single-use cards that once used, you have to get a new one apparently. Microtransactions incoming. We need a "Hope Rope" Emote.
