Depends on the group and where you end up.

Typically in prison settings, yes. I know white nationalists will tell you to cover up any tattoos that may be considered to be "theirs" and/or cut it off of you.

I'm sure MS-13, Latin Kings, etc will do the same or kill you.

Idk if Bloods/Crips do there's so many fucking minor gangs associated with these two based on literally which street you live on, so who knows.
 
Honestly, I think Phil is too much of a coward to actually end up in jail anytime soon, let alone an actual prison. But even with that taken into account, that teardrop tattoo is a major mistake on his part.

As others have stated before, if a cop saw that tattoo, Phil would at the very least be questioned. And if he ends up in an actual Latino neighborhood that has a gang presence, he's fucked.

Of course, he never goes anywhere near actual Latinos since they can easily call him out on his fake bullshit.

Sometimes. Depends on the ethnicity and gang. Mexicans and Aryans generally make you cut it off, other whites and most blacks generally make you cover it up with another tattoo after getting your ass stomped.

Here's the thing though, most people who get fucked up generally don't just get a bullshit gang tat like this. There are very specific rules for getting gang tats. Most gangs require you to put in work at a prison to go from unpatched prospect to a patched member. For those that don't know, prison is not jail, if you get patched in while in jail, you will have to cover up or get it cut off while in prison. That is most people that cover up: people who are going to go to prison so they get in good with a gang while in jail and get patched in before they hit the yard, this is a HUGE no-no. Now for what Phil has done, which is gotten a gang tattoo with literally no affiliation or jail or prison time, that is such a massive fuckup that his ass will be green lit by literally any gang worth their salt. He would be flat out murdered if sent to a yard, no questions asked. One sight check he would be alive, the next one the CO would find his ass dead, and it is doubtful that anyone, inmates or COs, would give a shit, and he would become a statistic while nobody even gets a charge over it.

Another massive fuckup is the fact that he claims Latin, that is a big no-no. I would hazard a guess and say 90% of the US Hispanic prison population are honest-to-God cartel-connected gang members, and 100% of them know Spanish. Dudes like him which claim shit that they aren't and don't even know the goddamn language die. They just die. The Aryans will jump in and save a fresh off the bus white boy from getting got because allowing whiteys to get murdered or fucked up on their watch is bad for business, but someone like this who is obviously white but claims Latin will be brutally murdered by the same gangs he tries to get close to, and the Aryans couldn't give any fewer fucks. You can't rely on the COs for protection, because in a 2000 bed prison you may only have 40 officers on shift on a good day.

I have personally seen people beaten to death with a plastic tray over shit half as petty as this. Luckily for him, however, he is legally a female, so it would be pretty easy time compared to what he would get, if he ever went to prison.

Note: I use Aryan because in almost every state and federal prison in the US you will see a subset of Aryans, each state generally has their own flavor, but in 90% of prisons, it's the Aryans who run the white boy car. However they aren't the only white prison gangs to exist.
 
The point of the black bloc uniform of antifa is to remain anonymous, be able to quickly shed your black overclothes and blend in with a crowd to avoid prosecution. It doesn't work if you tattoo antifa all over your body like an idiot.

The Aryans don’t like fags or race traitors, drug use is iffy (depending on ideology, some believe it reduces the white man to the level of minorities), and Italians are kinda lukewarm, the ideal is Nordic or Celtic blood.

Phil would be thrown to the wolves for denying his whiteness alone.

Obviously there’s some varience depending on if you’re with the Sons, the AN, Texas Brotherhood, etc, but he’s pretty much fucked if he gets mixed into gang shit.
