Yeah, they're the flame shoe in all the shots, you can tell by where the flames start at the bottom of the laces - if you look really closely, you can see the little black space in the middle of the flames.

Personally I think this is a dangerous road to be going down. If it's information the police and authorities want to know then so should the public at some timely and still relevant point. (a point we are WELL past here) This really convenient "gave it back to the family" situation is an unacceptable outcome as well. The families, friends and related organizations don't and shouldn't even factor in. Crimes aren't policed because of their effects on family members of victims. I know it sounds harsh but it is what it is.

I definitely feel like there's stuff in there that specifies why that school was targeted beyond simply being where the shooter once went, given how quickly some of the media defense was pointing out the initial planned target was a mall. What we've seen so far is typical edgelord emo bullshit that shows she was beyond cracked in the head and likely had extreme self-hatred issues as other Kiwis have pointed out. I agree with the thrust of this, but given how nontransparent law enforcement has been about her in general, I wouldn't quite call this facts not in evidence, at least not yet. From day one, the city government realized the political ramifications of the identity of the shooter and unlike every other mass shooter, did not excoriate her beliefs. If instead, they broadcasted that yes, she was on T for months and it caused her to lose her mind, they knew exactly how this information would be used.

Antidepressant use gets blamed for a lot of mass shooting/ suicides/ school shootings. I know the Pharma companies that make them have been involved in lots of lawsuits thanks to families wanting to pin the blame on the pill, not the person. (In the case of some suicides and violence they have a point. When you have someone with mild typical depression suddenly commit suicide or violence within a short period of time after beginning a Rx. The black box warning exists due to these instances)

I’m no supporter of anti-depressants and thinks it’s bizarre how GP will hand them out like Candy to anyone who says they feel sad. But I also think they are handed out to people who have real deep seated mental problems as a “we don’t really know how to treat this, you have crappy insurance coverage, so here’s so Prozac.
