The advantage of having Titans was waning in the face of rapid technological advancements of a world that hated them. Even if peace talks were viable they would have to place all their hopes on that longshot and lose their only opportunity to secure their existence.

They had one opportunity for continued existence and Eren threw it away, and another option for living out at least their own lives in peace with Zeke's plan, and Eren stole that option from them too by betraying Zeke. And look how things turned out, that fake gay peace was temporary, and they were obliterated.

Also they replaced the "Thank you for being a mass murderer" with Armin declaring he'll meet Eren again in Hell for inspiring him to see the outside world. Also some of the Eren dickriding was removed in general from 139.

Isayama or MAPPA really did their best to salvage it.
 
I dropped AoT at the chapter where it was revealed that Eren could control titans.

Someone explain to me how mikasa decapitating eren and kissing him helps them get to the basement?

Lol, Lmao even. I have always loved that the only discernable message you can take from this is "never try to explore past your boundaries or encourage others to do so, or else terrible things will happen".

Isayama is the best kind of hack fraud.
 
I enjoyed the ending...was I suppose to not like it. Eren is a dick head but other people are also dick heads.
