How will Eren be stopped?

The coping, seething, and dilating from these people is never gonna stop being funny,

Was Armin stupidly oblivious to his friend's obvious mental issues problems? Yes, and frankly, so was the rest of the SC.

Did he also talk to Annie for four years instead of planning shit? Bro, he did more than just talk, but I don't think he did only that for four years.

Does all this change the fact that Eren still only genocided the world because he couldn't tell Mikasa he loved her?

No.

It doesn't.

And nothing ever will.
Honestly the only thing more pathetic than Erenfags are Flochfags. Like Floch is a funny over the top villain but Flochfags romanticize this obvious villain as a heroic patriot and try to act like people who hate him are hypocrites

Like holy shit I’ve never seen any fanbase before that got this invested over fictional politics of a really stupid world.

I love Floch but these people need to understand that he is NOT a role model. That should have been obvious when the first thing he did after the timeskip was talk about how civilians are just more enemy Marleyans. His death speech proved he really believed in what he was doing and that it was the only option, but that doesn't justify his actions or who he is, it just makes him a good character among a bunch of mediocre to bad ones.

It's not like anyone goes out of their way to write Kenny apologia and people love the guy, myself included. Maybe Isayama should have had Floch blow some cute girl's face off too.

A common defense for Floch I've seen is that since AoT is supposed to be a gray vs gray morality series, Floch is no worse than anyone else in the series, and that because he truly believed he was doing the right thing, everything he does is completely fine, and perfectly excusable.

So yeah, it's just the Eren defense again.

Yeah and that he "cares" for his people.

This is despite the fact that Floch is an egotistical retard who would jail anyone who disagrees with him (including super competent people that if they weren't freed by John Boyega, Marley would've won easily), poison his own military, get a bunch of recruits to beat up the drill instructor that bullied him, bomb civilian homes, spend more time beating up people or killing them instead of helping out, and happily brag about people's homes being destroyed to outsiders who wanted to help.

Flochfags just excuse all this as patriotism and necessary. Like they even say Floch basically becoming the secret police is a good thing.

(Holy shit I really missed when Attack on Titan was more fun instead of a political honeypot for A&H tier autists)

Remember when AoT was unironically one of the most progressive animes out there?

There was gender equality, a canon lesbian, a canon nonbinary character, racism was almost nonexistent, and all of it fit naturally within a story that was actually fun, and interesting to read.

It's honestly kind of sad that it ended in dumpster-fire of Nazism, Fascism, sexism, racism, and homophobia. Albeit, that last one is a result of the fandom, but still.

And never forget the worst part: when every aspect that could have salvaged something was ignored.

And all this happened because Isayama decided to watch Game of Thrones one day

…what canon non-binary character? If this is about Hange, that was literally a joke self-deprecating comment by Iseyama about his shitty art, in the anime she is unmistakably female and I’m PRETTY sure is referred to as such.

So it was. If that was the case, why would he tell the foreign volume editors to not use gendered language for the manga when it comes to Hanji?

It started off as a joke at first, but I think Yams decided to make it canon in the manga later down the line.

I dunno. I could be wrong, but my point still stands.

I actually read the "Before The Fall" manga and its such a much more neatly focused story that i almost feel bad for its characters that the core series ended up like it did

Its more about the actually interesting wall politics and the fact that its from an era that was just barely developing the 3DMG is interesting because they literally cant kill Titans without it, they also show how they get the special iron they use to make their swords, and the gas they use to power the boost part of it, my only teeny tiny nitpick is that all of the swords they use are wierd medieval broadswords while their tech is vaugely rennisance or slightly above, but thats literally just an aesthetic nitpick

Most of the art is actually pretty great and the titans all look very grotesque and gnarly in a great way.

The MC is "special" in a neat way since he got Guts-ed by being born out of a corpse that got eaten by a titan and the main girl actually is useful to everyone and even learns how to work and improve the 3DMG

All in all a good story that unfortunately ends before it could do more with the world thanks to its nature as a prequel

Before the Fall manga is something that I used as a proof Isayama actually could do better, and once had a vision for this series, especially in worldbuilding. But then the timeskip happened...

Honestly there are a lot of ways it could work, and hell the idea Isayama has is not inherently bad but it was executed horribly with how he never bothered to flesh out the world and the racism angle is utterly retarded. Like the guy really needed to take a break, and it's very likely he just rushed things due to burnout.

This only just confirms how burnt out he is.

That first picture hurt me more than it should've.

Before the Fall wasn't written by Iseyama, so if you think it's better... maybe that's why, lol.

If he was involved with its production at all, it likely would've been limited to giving the green light to major lore/plot points to make sure they don't contradict his own ideas.

Something about Eren’s pose while he sits in the water and cries about wanting Mikasa to be forever obsessed with him makes me think he also pissed himself.
