Meh. I think Gabi not having more serious 'consequences' is part of the point. Niccolo basically throws the brat at her dad, hands him a knife, and tells him to show her the consequences. and his response is 'fuck consequences.' Trying to exact consequences for crimes of the past is shown as toxic in the show, and PREVENTS people from changing since they're on the defensive. That's why I think the moment where the Braus family is walking by the window is Gabi's real wake-up moment. Because Braus has forgiven her and Kaya hasn't. On the one hand she sees the quality of the people she has hurt, and on the other hand she sees how she's perpetuated the cycle of hatred and violence.
The theme is bungled in other places, but I think in Gabi's case it is done well.
