lol, mangas aren’t visual novels, the number of manga that have gotten a sequel is absolutely minuscule.

Even if Attack on Titan were to get a sequel, Isayama would probably just focus on that random kid who discovered Tree!Eren in the end, not make a new timeline just to have Eren win.lol, mangas aren’t visual novels, the number of manga that have gotten a sequel is absolutely minuscule.
I would slightly disagree on the rate of mangas getting sequels. Which from I've seen over the decades the rate is very rare. But for mangas by mangaka who publicly shat on the publishers' money bed; yup the the chances of sequel is absolutely minuscule as you said.lol, mangas aren’t visual novels, the number of manga that have gotten a sequel is absolutely minuscule.
This guy's videos does the horrors of the Rumbling justice; theres just this overwhelming sense of dread and despair as these skinless giants just trample EVERYTHING to the ground, never ceasing or compromising.Since a few weeks is when the ride truly becomes bonkers, I do want to share this since it's honestly kinda unnerving

Real talk, how much scarier, and better would AoT be if it styled, and shot like this?Since a few weeks is when the ride truly becomes bonkers, I do want to share this since it's honestly kinda unnerving

Probably wouldn't be able to make a series that is entirely shot in old film footage. But it does make it seem like a lost opportunity not to have more scenes where the titans are viewed from a much lower and human perspective, and perhaps a version of Tybur's war declaration where we see it from the perspective of the kanepixels video first where people have no idea that Eren is going to appear, then have the opening of the next episode go back to the beginning of the speech as Eren and Reiner meet and the episode then proceeds up to the point where it catches up to Tybur being eatenReal talk, how much scarier, and better would AoT be if it styled, and shot like this?
Also, isn't the guy that makes these only nineteen? Because if so, holy shit, he's going places.

Honestly Attack on Titan itself is probably at it's best when Isayama actually tries to make things scary, it's just very few and far between until the rumbling happens since the original chapter that video took inspiration from was horrifying (except when it went full retard when Isayama wrote in a preachy speech about "hate bad"). The series probably would've been much more better if Isayama did art while someone more competent did the story (since say what you will about Isayama, but he is really great when he makes horrifying visuals).Real talk, how much scarier, and better would AoT be if it styled, and shot like this?

Yeah the most times titans were viewed from low angles were mainly in the first half of the story. It was more notable in season 2 especially with the introduction of the Beast Titan and Sasha's whole subplot. But that pitch for Eren's emergence would honestly have been better than Isayama doing the "Audience knows the bomb is under the table" trick since that attack would've had a similar impact to the first grim reminder.Probably wouldn't be able to make a series that is entirely shot in old film footage. Sorry, I should've been clearer. I didn't mean the actual story. I meant just the concept in general.Probably wouldn't be able to make a series that is entirely shot in old film footage. Well, I know what my avatar for next Halloween is going to be!I mean, look at this:

When you look at this image without context, do you think of Eren Yeager at all? This is what Titans would look like in our perspective; horrific beings that can destroy with abandon. Visages of death that look like beings of Hell itself.
tbf Titan Shifters itself aren't a bad concept as long as something more interesting happens, it's just the plot isn't engaging once the timeskip happens since most of the mysteries have been solved and the entire plot just became a series of stupid and convoluted decisions so Isayama can have the Rumbling happen while making Eren be seen as a sympathetic martyr.Sorry, I should've been clearer. Like imagine spending your last moments frantically taping these giant monsters destroying your city, and then maybe a few decades later, someone with no prior knowledge of what happened comes across your footage in the rubble. Like you, they have no fucking no idea what those things are, where they came from, or where they went afterwards.
Fuck the sequel series being about Mikasa's kid, and Historia's. I wanna see a sequel where the Rumbling is (somehow) completely forgotten by history until some dipshit rediscovers shit like that, and everything goes downhill from there.
Well, I know what my avatar for next Halloween is going to be!
Edit: In all seriousness, these photos are also a good reminder of why the stuff during the beginning of the series is a lot better than the stuff afterwards.
We didn't know what the titans actually were, and that's what made them so unsettling, and compelling. As soon as titan-shifters became a thing, and even more so after the titan-mystery was actually solved, things became a lot less engaging and interesting.
I agree that they're not a bad concept at all in general. I just think how they worked, and were created in canon is very boring, and is what partially led to the downfall of the series. I just think they would've been more interesting if the series stuck to its zombie roots and had the way you became one was similar to what happens with a zombie bite.tbf Titan Shifters itself aren't a bad concept as long as something more interesting happens, it's just the plot isn't engaging once the timeskip happens since most of the mysteries have been solved and the entire plot just became a series of stupid and convoluted decisions so Isayama can have the Rumbling happen while making Eren be seen as a sympathetic martyr.
Shit, never thought I would discover a great animator in Farms, much less in the AoT thread. This kid is definitely going placesI mean, look at this:

Then we have this shot of the Colossal Titan standing over the destroyed remains of Liberio:

It's blurry, but the imagery is there; Just picture something that huge standing before the remains of a place that once held so many.
Attack on Titan can be scary, it's just the way it's portrayed (I.E a shonen manga) that removes a lot of that horror away because of all the anime shenanigans that occur. This guy gets just how fucked this setting is.
TFW Anime-onlys are smarter than Eren fanaticsI looked around and people are really questioning the plot of AOT with the new time travel stuff especially with this question
"Why did Grisha give Eren titan powers if he hated his plan?"
See, my bigger question was why Grisha didn't at least try to tell Eren to fuck off.I looked around and people are really questioning the plot of AOT with the new time travel stuff especially with this question

In Grisha's case, he would've probably died from Frieda if he didn't succumb to Eren's pressure and he was resisting. But after that point he probably could've just tried to find someone else better suited for the titan powers than Eren especially if he hates his future. Though it could be argued that Carla's death probably broke him since he became insane at the time of giving Eren the injection. It's honestly complicated (but really that could've also sealed the deal to just give titan powers to someone else compared to Eren like that former survey corps commander who happened to be friends with the doctor. It honestly gets more complicated on the if's and buts since introducing any element of time travel always makes a story a mess especially if the rules are vague like Attack on Titan's sense of time travel since it was first established that only Attack Titan holders can see the future which is how Eren did his thing but then he also could control titans in the past to kill his mom so Bertolt wouldn't be killed (even though Bert getting killed by the Smiling Titan would've probably been more beneficial to everyone else but Reiner and Annie)See, my bigger question was why Grisha didn't at least try to tell Eren to fuck off.
Seriously, the fact that he just lets his son walk all over him without even trying to stand up to him is really stupid. I know he has god powers, and that there's a better reason for his behavior other than what I'm thinking, but the way it's shot just makes it look like Grisha is fucking cuck to his own son. I know you can't stop him, but he's still your kid for fuck's sake. At least try to put your foot down with him.
It leads part of me to think that Eren deliberately killed his mom because he knew she wouldn't put up with this shit if she was alive.
But why did he inject Eren with the serum and have him eat him if AFTER he killed the royal family he didn't want Eren to succeed? In Grisha's case, he would've probably died from Frieda if he didn't succumb to Eren's pressure and he was resisting. Seriously authors need to stop introducing time travel into their stories because "it would be cool" since there are so many logistical issues with time travel.
1. Killing the royal family honestly was a necessity no matter what since they would hold back the island and likely have everyone be killed. He also did want to kill them before anyway but hesitated due to the fact that children were there and had to be killed before Eren mind raped himBut why did he inject Eren with the serum and have him eat him if AFTER he killed the royal family he didn't want Eren to succeed?
For the record, my issue isn't him listening to Eren. It's him listening to Eren while Eren is an edgy little shit to him. I dunno, maybe it's the fact that he such a hardass with Zeke that seeing him just fold to Eren faster than Annie folded Levi's squad just feels like a blatant example of author fiat to me, and let's face it, it probably is. Driven mad by his wife's death or not, it still feels like bullshit to me.In Grisha's case, he would've probably died from Frieda if he didn't succumb to Eren's pressure and he was resisting.
