From what I remember, it's now illegal in Russia to call the current Russo-Ukrainian conflict a war, and it's punishable by up to 10 years in prison. You have to call it a спецоперация or else you get jailed, even if you were to present both sides neutrally when describing the events happening there. The westeners do not understand that, even worse, Ukrainians and Poles do not understand that even though they lived under a similar regime that would arrest them for saying the wrong things, yet they fail to accept the fact that Russians who are against the war or even neutral about it will prefer to stay silent about it to not risk their livelihood for some idiots on the Internet, who would still call them murderers just because of their nationality even if they publicly denounced Putin and declared their absolute loyalty to Zelensky.
 
That translates as "special military operation" or some shit doesn't it? Similar to how the Iraq War and Afghanistan War were actually "police actions" and shit because only congress can declare a war but in the west no one cares.

I would say a lot of Ukrainians and Poles do understand but do not care out of dislike of Russia, wanting to keep Putin at bay, or performing to keep the NATObux coming.

It actually became illegal because of Pro-Western assholes who'd spread fake information or basically scream how this was considered WW3 and Russia is the new Nazi Germany etc. because of this the Russian government eventually got fed up and passed a law that called it anything but a special op will get your ass in trouble. There's also some governmental reasons for this being called a special operation, but it'll be way to long and winded in a way.

I mean, Ukraine def want the NATOBux rolling it, lets not forget that after 2014 Ukraine was considered pretty much a 3rd world country because Poroshenko basically buttfucked their country and economy while Zelensky (for all his promises) never fixed shit and made it worse, and continued pushing the Neo Nazi shit instead.

Okay, so short info: The game is very fun, def has some rough spots, but for a first-time studio could have been way worse. Curious about what the devs have planned for the DLCs they have coming up.

The Metro games were made by a studio called 4A Games, which was founded by ex-employees of GSC Game World who created the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. Yes, that means the games were made by Ukrainians based on the books written by a Russian.

Been neglecting the polygons/testing grounds until now, just did two of them and they were almost completely puzzle based, Are they all like this? I like the puzzles for the most part so i don't really mind but i was just looking forward to it being more robot killing in these areas.

I just now watched NFKRZ's video and I have to say I disagree, because NFKRZ despite coming to the same conclusion that "don't buy the game because some of the money will go to Russia", he gave a much fairer take about the game and the studio than that retard Harenko did in his astroturfed video, since he didn't go "Mundfish is bad because they are Russian and you should hate them because they are Russian". Hell, he even pointed out that logic is retarded because Zelensky has worked with people who have connections to the Russian government and he said it would be retarded to say that Zelensky should now be hated because of that.

So no, it wasn't the same, the conclusion might've been, but his entire take was much much fairer and neutral than Harenko's hatred fueled tirade, and Roman even acknowledged that Ukrainians despise everything that's Russian since he also gets the same hate for just his nationality, and he at least tries to understand why they feel like that. This is definitely much better than all those Ukrainiand who want to see every single employee of Mundfish burn alive just because they're Russian.
 
The Ukrainian goverment wanting to ban the game is so insignificant that its funny, since they are in a war with Russia and their efforts and attention should lie somewhere else, somewhere actually important, like say fortifying againts attacks? No?

The game has some really good old Russian music, also the old Rabbit and Wolf cartoon (Russian Tom & Jerry).
 
Is there an upgrade to the looting button? I like how it works and not having to open every cabinet but its still a bit jank and I have to walk up to a desk or whatever a couple of time for it to work and magnet pull all the goodies inside.

Ukraine will always be bootleg Russia in my eyes. The only difference I have been able to discern between the two is that Ukrainian is spoken/written like Porky Pig speaking Russian while having a seizure.

Instead of "Vladimir", it's Vololololodymyr". It's not "Kiev", it's "Kyiyiyiyiyiyiv".

I prefer to say it sounds like Ukrainians had no idea if they were Polish or Russian so they made a shitty combination of both.
