Man scorn was such a disappointment. What was it, five years of dev time at least and we get a 3 hour puzzle game with light body horror elements? The fuck happened to the alien meat world that actually seemed promising?

Double that. Scorn had a Kickstarter way back in 2014.

So by your logic that Terminator game shouldnt be fun because the robots are also bullet sponges.
Now you're being willfully dumb. They're sponges at the beginning of the game when you're the clear underdog. By the time the game starts throwing T-800s by the bucketfull at you, guess what: you have your own plasma weapons to mow them down with.

I can only hope this game has that kind of progression, because the gameplay shown just has robots tanking magazine after magazine, which doesn't look fun to me.

Also I think the rockets are some of the slowest I've ever seen in any game, what the fuck is up with that.

The game is intriguing because I'm a sucker for Soviet/Russian settings but the enemies really looks like they suck. In the 10min gamespot trailer he had a car, several weapons including a rocket launcher along with some powers so I don't get the feeling that it's from the first 30-60 minutes of the game where the player is woefully under powered.

There's supposed to be ass-hacking from stealth on the dollar-store Yuri ones.

The game has officially gone gold as of January 26th. So no delays, it comes out on February 20th.

Journo shiflinging at the game for being made by evil Russians has also continued.

Reading into it, the "data" being "harvested" is no different from anything you would find in pretty much any EULA from a game studio from the USA to Japan, being some pretty standard legalese babble. However if you actually follow the trail of breadcrumbs you find out the source of the claim and who began this scaremongering.

These guys spend no time to attack the devs for being Russian and how bad they are for not trying to sabotage their own game to virtue signal about Ukraine. The mention that the data being sent to the Russian government only appears if you sign the Russian EULA is spun as some sort of conspiracy but it sounds to me more likely that they are only going to send data if the user is Russian already.

Interestingly, if you actually try and check who the fuck these guys are to find out why they are so buttmad about Russia the reason becomes pretty clear.

Gotta say, impressive work by Ukraine they really are going all out in the propaganda war.

I'm just waiting for when STALKER devs are gonna open their cockholes again.

The game looks cool from what the trailers and gameplay show and I might get it if it's actually decent. My main worry is that it will be a buggy busted mess and unplayable on release. Not even because it's made by Slavs, most big games these days seem to ship in an unplayable state and take years to patch to the level of not being broken.

That's the reason I'll put off buying a copy. I would buy a physical copy on release day if not trash because it seems like a game they may pull down later on because Russia problematic.

I just want to punch a robot in the face. Is that so wrong.

I really do want to try this game out day of but shitty games need a day of willing schlubs to see if the game is shit or not.
