Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Discuss.

This still comes off as some people are angry that the right people get the bad internet stickers and the wrong people are getting the good internet stickers.

Also who are the veterans of KF? Sounds like a bunch of fags.
 
I like how a couple A&H regulars are sperging about how "our percious forum" will be nuked or censored, without acknowledging why or how it has gotten to that point.

A fair chunk of A&H posts are racist memes and talking points against minorities, transgenders, liberals, Jews and everywhere in between. It's hard to get a word in edgewise without the most popular post being some obvious low-effort post demeaning a whole population of people.

That being said, Null gave you that containment space so y'all can do what you want. You should be fortunate enough you even HAVE the opportunity to be edgy, boomerish or just plain racist on a forum site. Most moderators s would just throw the banhammer down and axe the whole thing.

You're complaining about losing A&H, but you're not doing anything to self moderate and clean up the space you occupy FOR FREE. And that toxic atmosphere is seeping onto other parts of the website. Guess where most if not, all of it is coming from? It's affecting the reputation of Kiwi Farms; keep it up, and then you'll have to find somewhere else to voice your ... "opinions" on.
 
Dude, there nothing much I can do to stop others from Zionposting. I'm complaining because I don't want to lose something I enjoy over things I can't control.

I'm not sure of the why, but I'm positive the how is best summed up as "people who have a bug up their ass about the very existence of A&H pester null ad nauseam".

It's been like this since before the Tarrant shooting.

Their clearly some who think they are the "right" type of farm posters and the "others" need to go.

This is how it started on SA. Somebody in this thread is the next Koalas Mooch.

You act like most of A&H regulars regularly go to other part of the site to sperg about da jooz when that isnt the case

This thread is inhabiting multiple layers of spastic retardation.

If you don't like A&H, don't go to it.

If someone is getting too political or Jew-spergy outside of A&H, report them.

If you are complaining about bigoted jokes or comments, look at the site you are on, then wonder why those things are so important to you on this site of all places.

If you are complaining about the "echo chamber", then you probably haven't actually looked at A&H (I see center-left and even left-wingers get received favorably in many threads).

If you just don't want political shit on this site in general, then I...frankly don't think that's possible, since many threads outside of A&H touch upon political topics, and aren't complained about nearly as much (e.g. Yaniv and Canadian politics, Weeb Wars and the Kulturkampf, the many threads on political YouTubers in Internet Famous, the Rat King and troon politics, r/the_Donald and the Trump Derangement Syndrome threads in Community Watch, etc.).

If it's SEO, then get @Null to allow for some (light) editorializing on thread titles to avoid "plagiarism" checkers.

This has always been about politics and posting stickers, and the fact that some people have decided to use the fact that some extra-spergy posters post stupidly outside of AnH to deflect from this is absurdly transparent.

A few posts about pattern recognition and the forum leftists commit to a coup attempt. This is indeed how it starts. The eternally-online leftoids cannot survive without strong censorship in their favor. And once the Jew-naming is outlawed, it's on to the race issue, the gender issue, and so on down the line.

The simple truth is this.

Absolutely nobody has been able to explain, for the past ten-odd pages or what have you, why the supposed problem of idiots talking about politics outside of containment cannot be solved by simply banning the idiots.

That simple question has been roundly ignored despite several posters asking it. This is because this is actually about stickers and wrongthink.

I like how all the ex-goons are basically the dying canary in the coal mine right now. Lot of us saw it all play out over the course of 10 years or so, like before it even got "bad". This is that same slippery slope we're heading for right now.

Well, that's because, despite not all A&H posters being bad, A&H is ultimately the problem, because it radicalizes people, or makes them talk about politics outside of A&H, or something.

This is how the internet has always worked, any deviation leads to destruction and demise.

Like at some point if you've been on the internet long enough stuff like the word nigger doesn't phase you anymore and you can clearly tell when someone is trying their hardest to be edgy.

It also doesn't take much to avoid either, like 90% of the shit in The Beauty parlor I don't care about, but I'm not calling for Null to shut it down because half the threads devolve into K-Pop stan level of bullshit. So I don't click on the topics.

By the way, if you’re considered a KF veteran, that should make you want to chug bleach, not demand that your ideological opponents are purged from the board.

A good portion of the boards already have nothing to do with cows either, like are Games and Multimedia going to be closed because they have nothing to do with the primary purpose? Having general interest sub forums tend to be a standard thing on most boards. You're not going to get a constant stream of internet personalities shooting themselves in the foot 24/7 and those off topic forums tend to also get regular activity just as much as the cow forums which retains people. And when a cow does do something stupid a notification tends to go up on the main board directory so everyone can see.

People come for interesting discussion and once you start heavily curating it kills discussion, same thing happened on SA, Cracked, and any other site that was off the reservation in terms of not being a big social media platform like reddit or facebook. People go to smaller sites specifically because they're not heavily regulated and because they don't regurgitate content you can see on 10 other sites.
