Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Actually, I never had True & Honest status in the first place. Just never got around to it.

I can't really power level anymore but my time is EXTREMELY limited. I get up around dawn and come home in the evening. So I'm busy with a lot of shit I'm struggling to balance that isn't ending for over half a year at minimum.

So my time is pretty limited for going over Fed Posting or slap fights unless its pretty extreme. I'll still mod, I just cannot guarantee how much I can do. I don't have time even to post massive, spastic rants anymore which was my favorite thing to do. So while I still have the mental fortitude to mod A&H because of the massive amounts of illogical retards I deal with daily RL, the time is the problem.

Good. You should be ignoring most of that shit anyway. It's funny stuff and members that don't like it can ignore it the old fashioned way or be pussies and use the ignore feature. Fedposting isn't even real. It was made up like, two years ago to categorize and stigmatize what used to be called "posting". At this rate it won't be long before we're going to be removing people from threads for using improper pronouns.

Or. If Null really has a problem with it and doesn't like how things are panning out, nut the fuck up and just close the forum subsection already. The longer you leave it go the harder it will be to close it without more user backlash; and you're going to be closing it eventually anyway, that much is clear. This subforum's days are numbered. Just pop the cherry already, big boy. :null:
