I've gotten to the last boss 4 times. I've gotten him down to a sliver of health 2 times. I'm level 34 and talent 3. I've reached a conclusion...
This games shit. I want my money back. What were the devs thinking. Fuck all of this bullshit.
I'm addicted.
 
I vastly prefer IS to CC, even back during its first run last year so I'm glad it's back. Teambuilding feels much less restrained as there are now more powerful options for non-guard ops. I can see myself sinking a lot of hours every month on this alone. That lancer stage can still eat a bag of festering dicks, though.
 
I got to the final stage last night, I had such a good team. I had no idea the pathing of Phantom would be what it was....so rip to my death square of Thorns, Eyja and La Pluma (she is broken in this mode I stg try her out).

Not sure if you've unlocked the black dance shoes yet, which has the effect of melee ops on ranged tiles. Pretty cool effect for both of them.

And wow, that Candleknight stage is no joke, nice job.

Got my first clear earlier, didn't get to take any screen shots, but it was just better planned Thorns/Ejya abuse.

Manticore + Ethan are sleeper OP in this mode with the right items.

Still, I don't find it as annoying as the ice brothers boss, that insta-freeze is horrible
 
Doing a 3AM run in bed because I couldn't sleep was not a good idea, I got the teddy bear boss ending, fatigue brain I dropped Exu and started blasting the boss, safe to say it was not recoverable after that.

Original/Alt account is almost at a playable state. It was Level 40ish when I got it back last week with 0 3* raised (I hate past me) with only 3 left to max out. For fun, lets look at what I spent my resources on back in the day, and why was it an E1LVL80 a healer...

Don't laugh at the E2 Gitano, she was what I had the resources on hand to E2 the easiest so I could steal OPs from friends.

Looks fine to me tbh. I mean i did a lot worse when i started and still do to this day cause I'm too stubborn to read guides.

Calamity Faceoff wrecking me. On normal i was able to at least beat the first boss. Now I'm stuck repeating the first 2 areas over and over cause those are easy to beat but i never get any good items or operators to make a build around. I can get the defender boosts but then get no defenders.

I usually start with either Mountain or Thorns and that makes the first areas easy. Then i try and get my hands on Mudrock with her second skill just removes 1 lane from the game. After that it's just seeing what upgrades i can get my hands on and build around that. I had a game where i had 0DP cost on my vanguards and it was fun as hell with the emergency extraction. For nodes i try and get all the emergency ops i can get for the extra relics. Never use those gambling places much though i did get a OP item form one once but ever since i got the atk speed +5 for 5 ingots I've been careful with my spending hoping i got another one.
 
Mostly I am bothered by the fact there was no focus, Lappy is still solid though. Just more, why did I burn so much LMD/EXP into Shining where a high levelled healer is absolutely not a necessity at all until much much much later in the game. IS is interesting for sure on this account though.

I do wish you could check your past successful runs after the fact though, I was tired yesterday when I won, I want to go back and read the collectibles I had.
 
Thorns Top Lane - in front of blue box, facing down.

Literally any Sniper - Bottom "Lane" facing right, with their range just hitting the drones as soon as they enter the field.

That's it, that's the whole stage.

Game gave me no snipers. Except Chen but she has no reach before she gets bombed.
