No it was far more recent. At a fan Q&A meetup in 2017-2018 a GG fan asked the grumps if Jon would ever guest on the show to which Arin said nothing and Dan uncomfortably said something close to "No it's extremely unlikely" to which the crowd ofsheepsfans cheered because YASS QUEEN RACISS MAN BAD SLAAAAAAY. Basically Dan and Arin will never let the man who CO-FOUNDED the show come back to guest on one episode because he stated some FBI crime numbers. That was the point where they finally publicly showed they were hostile towards Jon whereas before it was just passive aggressive shit or flat out refusing to acknowledge he ever existed. Read the thread next time before asking questions this was all covered pages ago in this thread
That seems like a stretch. "No it's extremely unlikely" doesn't translate into "this person is racist, so no." I wouldn't classify it as being hostile towards Jon. Hell, I wouldn't even say it was passive aggressive. I think it's back into the territory of barely acknowledging Jon existed, which is par for the course when it comes to Jon. And I mean, it is extremely unlikely since I don't think either Dan/Arin really talk to Jon anymore, not to mention how far away Jon lives/Jon really not expressing any interest in doing Game Grumps or really anything video gaming related at all.
That being said, I don't think it is a stretch to say Arin probably disapproves of Jon's wrongthink, I just don't buy that Arin is hostile towards Jon. Just indifferent. When the Jon stuff first went down, some of his old friends did actually come out and say what he did was wrong/distance himself from him. Even then, I don't remember anything particularly hostile, but they at least took a stance. This is just the same ol' response to Jon related questions they've been giving since Jon first left years ago, before there was any controversy.
