Normally Woodland would be almost full with patrons before it went live to the public and it would sell out by now with around 80 people on the wait list.

Last I looked there were still around 40 slots open.

That’s a decline in interest by ~30% if that stays the same.

The Utah match was never as popular but it would still get around 140 people. It’s currently sitting at 99 last I looked. So a similar decline in interest.

And of course the Parma match is cancelled.

The people I’ve spoken with who withdrew or chose not to go cite the Wired article, me not running it (uncertain match quality), or both as reasons they won’t be attending.

I really want to give Russ the benefit of the doubt. As much as it is healthy to be suspicious of anyone who could be joining ‘our side’ only because their business has taken a hit, I also don’t want to unnecessarily shit on someone who was a bit slow on the uptake that Karl and his leftist comrades were all shitheads this entire time.

I agree I don’t think he owes anyone here an apology. But I also don’t think I was shitting on him. I feel like I’ve been fair to him in this thread. I think the point I was trying to make is that being defensive towards a group of people that don’t really like him but are simultaneously the only group of people willing to hear him out isn’t in his best interest.

And as to your last point about a mea culpa, I agree this is what fundamentally separates us from the left. Redemtion is just baked into the equation for conservatives because we’re heavily Christian and if not religiously Christian, then culturally Christian. So it’s just something you grow up with.
