edit: thread apparently carved out of Karl Kasarda's thread because we all started simultaneously fellating and fistfighting Russel.

The past few pages are proof that it really doesn't take much to not be a lolcow. Russel came in here and got shit on voraciously, but powered through and now he's just chilling. All it takes is stopping and going "yeah I'm not doing that anymore". There are still people here that think Russel is a dipshit who didn't disavow, but generally all it takes is taking it on the chin and not quadrupling down on hostility and fucking up your life.

Props to you for doing better than Karl @SinistralRifleman. And props to Karl for continuing to be a lolcow entirely of his own volition.

Backstory

Karl Kasarda is a belligerent retard in the guntuber space who blows up all of his own business endeavors because he gets righteously angry over anything. He used to be a member of the Satanic Temple until he blew that relationship up. He used to work with Ian of Forgotten Weapons until he blew that one up. He also used to work with @SinistralRifleman, who famously helped with the What Would Stoner Do project and ran gun matches until he blew that one up. Sensing a pattern?

Russell embarrassingly gunt guarded Karl after he blew up his relationship with Ian but before he blew up his relationship with Russell. Then Karl, adopting the identity of a leftist retard antagonizing anyone right of gay DEI Joseph Stalin, took part in this article which Russell finally admitted that Karl was perhaps not the most optics-friendly business partner and peaced out. Farmers are torn on whether he is honestly engaging or trying to recoup business losses from working with literal anathema. Some examples of both opinions seen below.

I do have a hypothetical question I’d like @SinistralRifleman to weigh in on that goes along with this. Let’s say when Russell was here the first time, the slap fighting calmed down like it has this time and he stayed in the thread. He didnt trash Karl and occasionally defended him. BUT he’d answer technical questions and post the occasional discount code. I’m genuinely curious if Karl would have tolerated that in the service to 2Aforall or would he have disavowed.

He wasn’t happy I was posting here 4 years ago. Other industry contacts thought engaging here at all was a mistake. I got raged at on Reddit for posting here at all; nothing to do with the content of my posts. Ya’ll have quite the reputation.

Nonetheless my position remains the same; people can dislike me for what I really believe or what I’ve really done vs rumors or speculation. Engaging in discourse is not an endorsement of anyone’s position or beliefs other than my own.

Karl is not willing to directly engage with his opposition. I can understand it to a point because it’s impossible to respond to everything and it can be a massive energy sink. But it leaves the strawman version of oneself as the reality for a lot of people.

2A4ALL started in January of 2023; after I was posting here and shortly before I left until recently.

I don’t think he was very interested in changing people’s minds so much as trying to consolidate people who already agreed with him.

The problem is that for a "normal" person yes, it would leave the strawman version of oneself as the reality for people. The issue with Karl isn't simply refusing to engage with opposition, it's showing his ass and making everyone in any room he walks into his opposition in the first place no matter the topic. It's a pattern, and isn't even related to politics but we've already discussed that. "Polarizing" wouldn't be a strong enough word to describe him.

I do have a question though. Did you ever think anything of his wehraboo larp? The VW Thing he clearly wanted to pretend was a kubelwagen, the haircut, the smock, etc?

Not really. There’s all sorts of weird fandoms in the gun world. If anything it felt like a counterpoint to Ian’s French special interest.

I don’t recall Karl being super into German shit before InRange started. Maybe he was and just didn’t talk about it. He’s always been into cowboy stuff.

I guess? But dude looked like he was more likely to post on stormfront than reddit for a bit. It it were to be a counterpoint to Ian's french fetish, you'd think the safer bet would have been soviet but I guess they were out in the desert and no one wants to larp as a ww2 era italian.

I think Russell is only doing this because he has nowhere else to go. With the die-hard far-leftists ruining his brand and image, he's trying to win back the people who got put off by his stubborn loyalty to Karl.

I also think this is all theater to generate sales for KEA. Russell either helped dogpile or stood by while his good friend Karl went after anyone to the right of Marx, including Ian McCollum, sometimes accusing him of not supporting 2A4ALL. I think Russ owes Ian and possibly several other people an apology, especially those who helped him with his legal battle with GWACS and then were subsequently attacked by Karl, with Russell either condoning it or helping Karl dogpile.

Sales must really be hurting if he has to crawl back here and go on FocusTripp streams to try to be like "how do you do, fellow based people?"

While I agree with you that Russell ought to apologize to people that he's previously went after, I don't think there's enough Kiwis or FocusTripp fans interested in buying from him to keep his business afloat. If you weren't interested in buying from him at the height of his his association with Karl and the 2A4ALL, I doubt very many people would be so after it either.
 
I wouldn’t be posting here again had Karl not deleted a ton of my posts from Reddit, collaboration posts on social media, and dozens of videos I’ve appeared in. Doing a post about it on my own social media would just stir up more conflict; posting here documents what happened for anyone who looks for it. Posting here at all is risking alienating customers based on my prior experience.

As for what I should say to other content creators: I’m not going to share the private conversations I’ve already had with them. Karl has put himself on an island not for his politics but his constant negativity and conflict seeking behavior. Everyone has their own story of their breaking point; and I don’t think any of them were because of his political beliefs.

Yeah no shit. Karl has done the same thing to Ian and the P&S guys previously, almost like a pattern of behavior, One you ignored. You were told all of this before you quit posting here the first time.

Actually I have. Here it is again.

People I don’t know virtually screaming at me made the person I did actually know seem like the more reasonable party. Karl’s detractors being rude and distasteful in the way they present their arguments made him appear to be in the right.

Karl’s unwillingness to even discuss the Wired article directly with me or how to handle it while continuing to promote it regardless of the reputational damage it was causing pushed me over into the Karl is unreasonable position.

He's like a DSP dent that finally got out of the pignosis and to his credit he has(just like above) been clear about this. He's even explained how it happened in the first place. Doesn't mean he's going to start calling Karl a retarded faggot because he's seen how acting like Karl works out in the long term and still wants to maintain an existence within normal society so being a public a-log is off the table. Such is life when you've attached your online presence to your name and face.

Reputational damage it was causing YOU. See, you couldn't see clearly until your business reputation was being affected.

The falling out and drama with P&S, Dugan Ashley, Ian McCollum, Brownells, Varusteleka, Polenar, and countless others before? You either didn't have the foresight or the empathy to realize that your "friend" was and is still a giant asshole. And the whole time, what did you do? You helped Karl dogpile on them, either publicly or in the Discord, or you quietly condoned it.

Only until Karl started dismissing your concerns did you finally realize.

Which is why I and several others have had some reservations. If your own business and reputation wasn't personally affected you would still be Karl's lapdog
