Pliny the Elder, in his Historia Naturalis, debunked the planists of his time through many methods, yet one need only conduct a simple experiment to get proof: take a glass of water, fill it to the brim, then drop a small object in it (a pebble, a coin, a rock, whatever). The slight, subtle curve you'll see caused by the water's surface tension is the roundness of the planet itself. You would also notice this in his time as you observe merchant ships disappearing over the horizon hull-first with the mast full visible as it descends from that point-of-view. Literally every seafaring society of the past, from the Greeks and the Romans of Europe to the Muslims who held a monopoly on the Red Sea and Indian Ocean trades, understood this concept. If you're in a position where you're questioning the roundness of the planet, it's clearly because you're not at the ports of Byzantium shipping out olive pomace by the barrel.

I've never understood how anyone can take flat earth shit seriously. You can literally see the curve of the earth with your own eyes from a mountain or airplane or if you're somewhere very flat.
