Would a bad person really be in a thread wondering if they are a bad person?
A serial killer might have some pangs of guilt. It is wholly possible to feel less guilt than your deserve/is appropriate.

I find the "are we the baddies?" in general to be a self-defeating thought process, and often the result of various media indoctrinating you to loath your own heritage and history. It is a far too common and misapplied thought process.

The more neutral question is better: "am I doing right or wrong?"

And honestly for the farm it's a mixed bag. I try to be one of the good ones. Pray that for more days than not, that I may be so.

We just wanna keep to ourselves and engage in the exchange of information and speech, which is morally neutral.
The people who try to shut us down are the bad people.

I wouldn't know if we're bad people. But I know that some of the people that we talk about here certainly are. So I don't know what that makes us.

I think anything other than observation and documentation is morally abhorrent and anyone who participates in anything beyond that is a bad person.
The internet isn't a private place, and it shouldn't be a private place. Looking into the invisible window and documenting the insanity of people on the internet is no more morally complicated than sitting down at the mall to people watch.
Watching the hobos beat each other up for food scraps in a dumpster isn't morally wrong.
Walking up to the hobos and telling them you'll buy one of them a chicken dinner if they stab the other obviously is morally wrong.

I live by the phrase "It's fine to peep through the window, but not to ring the doorbell"

what is a 'bad person'?

what do we do here? essentially gossip and build parasocial networks around things we find interesting. It's an innately human thing and we do it without hypocrisy and in the full knowledge that all that separates us from our subjects is a healthy dose of keeping our own vulnerabilities out of the spotlight
the reason the mainstream hates us is because we do in public what they do in private and it exposes their hypocrisy
there's been enough leaks to show that when they think they aren't in public, the cleanest cut public figure goes full mean girls
it's just that we'll laugh at you and stab you in the front instead of smiling in your face and getting a flunky to stab you in the back
because of that we don't have a public image we're terrified they'll destroy and so it's open season on everyone and they can't rely on hierarchies and networks to protect them

that's why they call us bad people; it's not that we talk shit about people, it's that we do it outside of the rules and framework they rely on to feel safe

there's fucking warlords in africa chopping off people's hands and pedophiles raping their own daughters chained to a wall in their basement. get off your fucking high horse.
Worse than what Null says here, there are also people subverting cultures and destroying the good in the world, actively encouraging people to sin, engineering and sustaining efforts against family and community, resulting in countless deaths, abuses, and unfulfilled lives, all because it makes the population easier to manage. Imagine thinking we're the bad guys for pointing out some of the absurd public degeneracy that results when there isn't a healthy culture in place to stigmatize it. Imagine considering yourself the bad guy for detailing the events of Wiemart America.

I'm also not convinced God, if you want to take that angle, wants us to ignore trespasses against him, as if recognizing it happening is considered "shitting on the weak".

I'm quite certain that I'm a bad person.

I'm quite certain that most of the subjects of the threads I watch on here are much, much worse.

We're invasive gossip and rumour mongers, incessant sticky beaks, prone to horrendous violations of privacy. And quite a few times I've come across threads where I've found the focus to be inappropriate and unnecessarily cruel. But increasingly, it's becoming so that this nasty spiteful site filled with nasty spiteful people is one of the few, or even the only, places in the English-speaking world where true freedom of speech (NIGGERTITS!) and genuine investigative reporting is taking place. I don't know about you, but I find that terrifying on multiple levels.

So yes, I think we're bad people... but I don't think much of the ones outside of the forum either.

All humans are bad people, it's just a matter of degrees. I think I'm a fair person, but that doesn't make me good. I give myself a 5.5/10 morality score, just above average.

Eh. Good and bad are relative. What you find good, I find abhorent. Morality ultimately is the one that has the most guys with baseball bats enforcing it.

maybe if we genuinely want people to be hurt otherwise we are just doing a little bit of trolling

I do admit that sometimes I might go a little too far when it comes to making fun of people like Kevin Gibes. For sure Kevin is a bad person, but it's not like I can say that I'm doing it purely out of a moral crusade or seeking greater change in society either. More so, I do it because I think that it's funny to me. I'm not like one of the people who trolls guys like WingsofRedemption or Darksydephil and tries to justify it as inspiring them to lose weight or find a job and better themselves because we're not aiming to teach life lessons here.

I don't believe that I have a ridged code of conduct to determine who is and who isn't off limits either. But then again I probably wouldn't feel so good ripping so hard on someone who really didn't deserve it. Notice that the people here who usually get ripped on the hardest are usually arrogant or display too much hubris and probably could be taken down a peg or two (not always the case, but still).

I do believe the farms does have a somewhat of a restraint. Usually in a thread if someone gets too hostile or unreasonable when talking about a cow other users will rate them MATI or speak out against them. For guys like Chris Chan we understand that he does have a mental disability and that affects what we can and can't hold him accountable for because of his mental capability.

I'm usually more "bad at being a person" than actual bad person.

I do find myself wishing I had the power to vaporize certain human-shaped bags of putrid garbage now and again, but I think that's pretty normal.

I am just a person with an unhealthy coping mechanism and instead of going all autistic on one person I laugh at the whole group.

Over time it became less of a coping mechanism and more plain entertainment though. Like as if I was watching some shitty reality TV show.

I realized that me just mentioning a lolcow sends the weens to them. I underestimate kiwifarms a lot and I try to be more careful with my words ever since.

Just because I am a sperg doesn't mean I should drag others to hell with me.
