I like the movie, barely remember SG-1. Of course, when I last watched the movie, within the last year and a half, all I could think was "what pedo is behind this shit?" when they showed the half-naked slave children. But James Spader? *chef's kiss*

Started rewatching the series for the first time since it aired while I'm at work. Currently working on season 3. Most of the flaws the show has are overshadowed by the cast synergy and the overall likability of the characters. Early episodes mostly feel like Jack is tard wrangling Sam and Daniel. A few bad episodes that felt reliant upon the cast being intentionally obtuse. Will be skipping the last two seasons because holy fuck they were bad and felt like some fedora-tipper's fanfic come to life.

I watched SG1. The first few seasons of it were good but then it just became one of those "goofy comedy sci-fi shows with no real threat or consequence" and then it went downhill.

Atlantis, same thing as above.

Universe was alright but damn was it overdramatic as fuck and nobody even talks about it anymore.

The fandom for Stargate is very weird. 99% of it appears to be stuck in 2010 just waiting for the day Stargate comes back on the air, not realizing that their favorite show isn't going to work in today's climate.

I'd rather it didn't come back.

Same. Star Wars and Star Trek have been ruined for me to the point that I think they will never come back to their glory days.
Stargate, Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica are the only sci fy shows that I love that have remained untouch and I referred it that way. Yeah Stargate wouldn't be the same in today's world Saddly.

SG-1 was first show I actively watched when it was aired on TV. And I liked it a lot.
Atlantis was overall decent sequel.
Universe had cool setting but outside few highlights it was meh.
Never heard about Origins is it prequel?
And is it atleast ok?

Going by the reviews it looks pretty bad

Like it may be Stargate infinity levels of bad

Makes me morbidly curious to check it out after a few drinks.

Honestly what was Stargate Infinity. It honeslty had noting to do with the main franchise other than there was a stargate.

It was a Saturday morning cartoon. I remember seeing it as a kid but I don't remember much about it. It took place in the future. I think they were accused of something so they were trying to clear there names which is why they were on the run. The show did not last long.

Is it canon to the stargate Universe?

I really like the concept and some of the characters of Stargate, but it's one of those shows where I'll pick out certain parts rather than watching the whole thing. Same with the movie.

The fandom interests me because I never seem to come across anyone who likes it yet if you specifically search for it it's still really popular.

The books published by Fandemonium are good if you like the tv series but not the movie, vice versa for the Bill McKay books. The audios by Big Finish are awful.

Also Cliff Simon ( Ba'al ) passed a few months ago , kiteboarding accident.
