Ties back to this:

The sort of situation you are talking about in theory has already happened at least once, and probably many other times too.

I would posit fundamentalists would fall into such vein in part due to their commitment to rejecting science.
Hey in fairness, the new threat to science isn't young earth creationists, it's SJWs who want to abolish the scientific method because it was created by "racist privileged white cis males":

Their slapfighting has been deleted.

Carry on.
I was just making a point that for most people, vaccination is just a common sense thing that people don't give a second thought about it.

The pedantic types who feel the need to "lecture" everyone online about how "vaccines are sooo awesome because... science!" are usually just annoying Fedoralords. Most normal people don't spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about "vaccines" on way or another, they have better things to do with their time than "win arguments against vaccine denialists" on the internet... like masturbation.

It's beautiful in a way. Autists from all walks of life can set aside their differences to agree that they want their children to die of preventable illnesses.

Would you like you and your children to die of measles you fucking fundie hippie waste of flesh?

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go fap to My Little Pony.

Well, like it or not, there is always a risk involved with vaccines, just like there is with the consumption with any medication.

How ever, from what we have learned and know. The risk from NOT getting a vaccine far outweights the risk of getting one.
Especially the much tried and used vaxxines which only have like a 0.01 percent change of side effects.

Here in Denmark, we did have a quite unfortunate story where a new vaccine was developed for Uterus cancer and a lot of young women, myself included actually, became a part of the test run.
And then, we sadly got cases of women whom ended up suffering massive negative effects from this vaccine in the form of nearly unbearable chronic pains. And they will be stuck with these pains for the rest of their life.

All though, what I think we need to remember about that vaccine in particular is that it was a new vaccine and we were all basically part of a test run.

The chances of the same thing happening to an older more well known vaccine such as the vaccine to Chicken Pox or measles are far more slim.

Again there is always the slight risk of an allergic reaction and so far. But perhaps that smaller risk is better worth running than the far bigger risk of the kid comming down with a desease it can die from!

anti vax people are making a terrible choice thats all i have to say i mean the doctor who said vaccines cause autism admitted that he lied and he lost his medical liscense

i mean ignorance is one thing where you buy into the blokes bullshit but being willfully ignorant when THE MAN HIMSELF says he bullshitted you and you still believe his lies is just dangerous and foolish

Horseshoe theory. New age "bio medicine" and "fundie God will cure your cancer" types are each other's mirror image.

Worsen the unvaccinated kids' chances by putting them with others to compound the risk--what a novel idea!

These are the sorts of ideas and statements that should be actionable to the local child welfare services.

At least their parents' genes will waste away with them. Human genepool wins.
