Its like mankind possesses some kind of Darwinian suicidal force.
Glad I am too afraid of the future to have kids to suffer through it.

Honestly I think this is a more minor thing from Trump considering there's more bigger issues to fry through, but it does seem scary.
I can't wait for it to be made law that you must get vaccinated when things get desperate enough. Too bad that's gonna be a pipe dream for a LOOOOONG-ass time, since Trump doesn't believe in saving lives like most really smart people do. Just one of many reasons why I have such low expectations, going forward. We can't bring back jobs and shit to sick people who refuse to take care of themselves properly.
I don't know if this is controversial or not, but refusing to vaccinate your child when there's nothing preventing you from doing so should be cause for CPS seizing them. Kids are removed for much less. The vaccination situation, given its ultimate ramifications, is still a very important world health issue.
Weakness on pressing the importance of this issue is what has led to it being as widespread as it is. People who tolerated the entry of children into schools and other similar institutions without vaccinations are the ones who have normalized the practice by not enforcing the rules. Their freezing at the switch has left a precedent for others to respond with similar inaction.
Call me harsh, but for people who insist on refusing to listen to doctors about medical matters, I really don't care too much about what happens to them. If they wish to tread a tightrope and run along without shots praying no preventable disease comes along to smite them, so be it. "Freedom" and all that.
My concern is focused on the people that have sought to do the right thing or are too young to preside over their own wellness. Unfortunately, because anti-vaxxers walk among people who could be vulnerable, it is almost impossible to act to ensure the safety of such persons.
That is the problem with anti-vaxxers. Walking among the general public, they pose a threat to public health that is difficult to combat. Inaction isn't a viable choice.
I'm surprised a lot of Tumbr users are also anti-vaxxers. I mean, if they were vaccinated, they'd be unwillingly penetrated (with a needle) by someone, and be able to cry rape more.
Then again "smallpox free privilege" might be a thing...
Would it be morally wrong to come up with scams to take these people's money? I mean, at least I'll spend it on beer instead of growing any real antivax anything. So really I'd be helping the world by keeping that money away from real groups, right?
You put it exactly to the point!New Law: You DO NOT get the choice whether or not your kids get vaccinated. If someone is going to cry "muh freedums, muh big government" I could really care less. I mean what are they going to do? Have a armed rebellion against the USA? LOL
Your freedom ends when it can harm another human being, and not getting your kids vaccinated has that potential.

It seems like a decent portion of them are Christian Fundamentalists. A lot of Christian Fundies tend to buy into naturalist woo nonsense too.Eh, not every anti-vaxxer is a trendy lefty (though some are in that neck of the woods). Anti-vaxxers seem collected less along the political left, right or center but under the average IQ line.
Minus some grifters like Wakefield, most of the anti-vaxxers I have seen are rather naive or--to be blunt--stupid. The tie-in to politics is limited to the fact that again appears to be a fringe bit.
Antivaxxers would not piss me off as much if they were choosing not to vaccinate themselves but oh no no they do it to their kids instead.
They don't give a flying shit that their diseased kids might infect an immunosuppressed kid who JUST got into remission for cancer and now that kid will die of something preventable. Dumbass antivaxxers need to get thrown in jail for murder if tha thappens because their choice caused a death. It's neglect.

A woman died of the measles here in Washington today. She was on medication that suppressed her immune response, which means that her vaccinations weren't going to protect her. Guess how she got exposed in the first place? A carrier in a waiting room.
This is why vaccination is important. If the carrier had been vaccinated, this woman would be alive today.
To the anti-vaxxers, that carrier's supposed right to not get vaccinations trumped that woman's right to live.

it's just close human contact with a larger number of strangers. that, and rats/fleas, etc.How does industry make diseases? I do not follow.
