"Why and how?" is pretty much the death knell of all conspiracy theories.

Vaccine injuries are real. They're incredibly fucking rare. If BIG PHARMA AGENDA 21 UN MIND CONTROL was trying to kill off everyone with vaccines then they're doing a shit fucking job of it.

If they wanted to control the population they'd just let measles run rampant.

Here's to hoping they don't kill too many innocent lives in the meantime. Or create many new, worse strains of viruses by allowing it to mutate within their lovely host body. Children make such good mutation grounds for super viruses

When it comes to vaccinating for the sake of public safety, mutation isn't the problem because aside from influenza, which causes this misconception, most pathogens don't mutate enough to overcome vaccinations/treatment very frequently even in host-rich environments. The real problem with not vaccinating is that it completely fucks over people who can't vaccinate in the first place, and rely on herd immunity to stay safe. Oxford and other bio-ethic communities report that roughly 10 million Americans (~3% of the entire nation) are immunocompromised or otherwise can't vaccinate for whatever reason, and for severely virulent diseases like measles you need a good >90% of the population to be vaccinated for herd immunity to work properly.

So now because of dipshit parents not vaccinating their kids immunocompromised people with leukemia, vaccine allergies, infants under 12 months old, people who just got an organ transplant, people on immunosuppressive treatments, and other unvaccinated types are now shit out of luck if they walk by Karen's little boy who's still contagious after just recently fighting off a mumps infection at the local park.

It seems a bit dystopian to force parents to vaccinate their children so I wouldn't support any laws that did that. But you SHOULD vaccinate your kids, and almost everyone who disagrees is a dipshit mom who spends too much time on Facebook and Pinterest.
 
I fully support people getting their kids vaccinated, but I fear that forcing people to get their kids vaccinated could set a bad precedent. You see, right now there isn't any reason to believe that vaccines are going to hurt your kid, but who is to say that is always going to be the case. If we were to make a law now (while there would be a massive amount of public support for such a thing) that made it illegal for a parent to not vaccinate their kid what would stop someone in the future using vaccines to hurt people?

Edit: This used to be the OP for another thread titled 'What should society do about the anti vax problem'. That thread was merged into this one by a moderator. Some of the following posts are a response to this post and were not intended for this thread.
