Opie was definitely meaner than the two of them. Anthony only got angry on his own when talking about black people and Jim only flew off the handle when talking about a minor inconvenience. Jim would tell stories about getting robbed by trannies in the meatpacking district with glee, but boy did he get hot under the collar when his coffee wasn't just right.

He was funny when he was being mean. Opie trashing Lisa Loeb is great. Any time they got Sam's mom on the phone, Opie really stuck it to Sam. There's also the time Sam picked a friend of the show for Jocktober and everyone turned on him, including Opie who got some lines in. This surplus of comedian podcasts just show how neurotic comedians are and that live, recorded "comic hangs" are just boring, I also learned that if you have the right price a comic will pimp any scam you give them a script for.

Opie could have been a more likable, less degenerate Howard Stern if he knew when to keep his mouth shut and when to not self insert. Howard Stern wasn't even the funniest guy or most talented guy on his show, but he knew when to stay quiet and let his wack pack do their things.
