Things like Obama and Trayvon made him realize that blacks were actually grabbing influence in society and that wouldn't be good for someone like him.
this is pretty much it, he didn't whine about blacks during Katrina as much as any other person watching the niggers looting did back then. obama is what kicked it into overdrive.
Moreover, he's said during some of his streams that he regrets how much he worked on O&A because that meant he wasn't there for his family, which is where I think most of his attention is now focused.
he retired in his 50s and before his kids turned double digits, like he's probably there way too much for his family at this point.
the fanbase over on the forums love it now, Ant always thought it sucked but that was where Opie shined, from the new info over on the forums Opie let his foot off the gas once he got married. before that he was a big show prep guy, but then Ant and Opie realized they'd always be #2 to howard and couldn't get fired either so they coasted. the show becoming "Tough Crowd:the radio years" is now considered the height of the show but Stern really was scared of them back in 2001, and some say they were almost going to over take him if they didn't get canceled in 2002.
let that personal affront go so easily
he probably wanted to play nice in front of the cameras because Gavin was already offered a spot after GOML got the boot and now Dave, it was only a matter of time before Ant got a shot and was hoping Dave would put in a good word.
As someone who listened to the last about 3 years of O&A before Anthony got fired it wasn't even that good of a show.
outside of Jocktober it sucked. i've been asking for the best bits post Patrice and i get a lot of nothing besides Jocktober.
Cumia was on MLC today and diplomatically put all the blame for Compound’s failure on Keith the Cop.
Why did Cumia pick a cop to do that job? can he at least blame himself for that one? especially when numerous other people with management experience came up and asked to take Keith's job instead. Imagine Cumia let Gomez and Redbar take Keith's job, how fucking different the entire network would have become, even if Mike fucked off, it would have still been the most watched network ever. imagine Gas Digital except Matt & Shane, Tim Dillion, Are you Garbage, Cumtown, and Redbar are also a part of it. It would basically be like The Dropout (college humor's network) except with stand up comics and would be huge.
