Since we're bringing up Patrice it seems like a good excuse to post one of his best hours on O&A where he breaks down Tracey Morgan's situation at the time and Hollywood in general. I think a few people have already quoted some of it in the discussion but it's good to have the whole thing.

I think no one really knows how Patrice would act if he were alive today, he could have been cancelled or he could be the biggest movie star in the world today.

He could have worked with Anthony or blew him off. You never really know! (Do you like my boring middle of the road take?)
Patrice would've distanced himself from Anthony, not because of his racism but because he acted like the Black people he criticizes. Not an enemy of Anthony, but like an old friend he talks to every now and then.

Don't watch if you're easily triggered (or bored), tonight's "star" guest is energy sponge Dave Landau

Every show so far has basically been:
>have on a guest for 20 mins that is either a fellow grifter, a glorified extra from The Sopranos, or a mid-tier comedian that hasn't been relevant in 20 years that is only there to plug a book nobody will buy
>take calls from geriatric New Yorkers where they will proceed to talk over Anthony and then say nothing for a few seconds when he gives them a moment to speak, making every call very awkward
>have small technical mishaps, like two ads playing over one another or having the guest or Anthony cut off at the end of a sentence to play more ads
>give kosher conservative takes so milquetoast that you make Tim Pool look edgy

Show is worthy of a jocktobering... Idk why they gave him an extra hour.

Will there ever be an episode where Anthony having a new radio show isn’t the main topic? WABC way overestimates how many people in NY or the US give a shit about Anthony Cumia.
Looking at the lineup at WABC, I imagine they feel getting Nana is a pretty good get for them. It’s the conservative boneyard out there for them. This is a network that thinks Bo Snerdley is a big deal.

Anthony keeps saying how interesting and awesome it would be to have Opie on his show, but WABC went ahead and threw him under the bus by tagging Opie about a special appearance, to which he denied so now Anthony is playing it off

I wouldn't at all be surprised if one of the reasons Anthony took the gig, besides needing the $$, was to try to entice Opie back into the fold.

Those glasses make him look like some old jew granny.

Who here among us are still mad at coworkers from a job you had 11 years ago? Like how can you still hold onto these negative feelings? Personally I dont think they will reunite. It just wouldn't be the same. But if I was Opie I would do it just for the money

He proooobably feels quite a bit of seethe over getting fucked over.

Who among us has lost their seven figure job in such an embarrassing and public way? Nana hopped right on his cross the second it happened, too, and now he has built a post-firing rep around being too dangerous for the PC boomers running Sirius XM.

Some things aren't worth the money.

I think that Opie was much more affected by Carl Ruiz's death than the Opie & Anthony show breaking up.
Scorch confronts Nana in a short video. Watch the Scorchster give a verbal beatdown

Oh my GOD. If Scorch and Ant get together on WABC, I will listen every fucking week.

It seems like he saw Ruiz as a true and loyal pal, and after he died there was no one left in his podcasting life who wasn't a brutally unfunny grifter. That's likely when he totally gave up on producing real content.

There were a few times on his early morning podcast that he basically admitted as such. Carl dying hit him really, really hard.
