I think the reason why O&A et al got away with that is because Ralphie talked the cops down and the girl in question, for whatever reason, never pressed charges and has never brought it up later. I generally agree. Patrice knew at the end of his life that he burned too many bridges to ever be accepted. That New York magazine story on him was surprisingly decent for that shitty rag. They correctly said even with him trying to undo the damage, he was not getting the chances he was expecting like after the Charlie Sheen roast. I think he’d be a non-factor by the time #MeToo came out. I think that Patrice would have had success in the current era because he was never afraid to say the things you're not supposed to say, he had no bridges left to burn, and thus nothing to lose. No one would have been able to stop Patrice because he would always have his handlers whose relationship with him was extremely straightforward. There was nothing that anyone could take away from Patrice to hurt him, which was literally how he set up his entire business.
