Grimms season 2 is the best. Fun fact the entire series was in fact dubbed but of course they chose to cut certain episodes for broadcast. I assumed they went undubbed. The first episode on the bluray is The Crystal Ball and its....pretty much an indicator of what nightmare fuel awaits. Its pretty gruesome for a children's show. But the villain is very beautiful....at times.

I don't even own a Blu-Ray player but the fact they went ahead and found episodes that were nowhere to be found on the tape-trading/torrent circuit is making me want to buy it. I'll probably break down and do it and borrow a player.

That's the good thing about Discotek - they commit to preservation in a way few other companies do. The Ninja Robots dub search is a good example of this.

(Is every episode featured in English?)

I almost can't believe this and I have the Blu-Ray. I thought a few episodes had to be in German audio or something when they had announced it, I didn't think every single episode was actually dubbed. The Blue Beard episode shocked my friend and I when we watched it a few years back, like it was hard to believe that episode was dubbed, but then like we couldn't find other episodes dubbed at all. Think the English dubbed episodes aired outside of the U.S. or something, or another company had dubbed them in English to use in place of Saban's dub.

Fucking amazing. Too bad Discotek is run by POSs, but I'm honestly amazed they found the entire dub.
 
Like I said, that's why I rate them highly. They give a damn about preservation of these old dubs, and that's rare.

(Now that I know this I might just break down and buy it...)

I wonder what's next? Other old Nick Jr. anime? Maybe some of the series that Just for Kids released like Ox Tales or Wowser? Admittedly, even though they have GoShogun I doubt they'll ever put out Macron 1.

Ooh, that reminds me that I need to start Ox Tales since I had managed to find all the episodes off of YouTube and downloaded them. I don't know if all of it was dubbed in English, though?
 
finally finished naruto and it's not bad. i had to switch to the manga because the anime was dragging its feet with the 10 episode fight scenes. The manga would be better if it had some of the filler stuff from the anime for character development - the other teams are pretty fun and the anime makes hinata to be the best girl more than the manga does. I guess i had to be on the ground floor when it first came out because it's just ok to me. sasuke is still a gay character.

I never read the naruto manga but I do read the boruto manga and I never knew why people don't like masashi's writing. I really enjoy the characterization he gave naruto but all the power levels I have no clue on what is happening most of the time.

yeah its hard to tell whats happening in the battle scenes and whos doing what.

Binged Sakamoto Days recently. Great series about a retired assassin working in a convenience store. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something shounen-y that avoids or makes fun of tropes.

Heading towards the tail end of Jojo part 4.

I love how they feel the need to censor wounds and gashes but are perfectly fine with showing an elementary school boy’s junk while being bathed by his dad. Gotta love Japan.

Kira and Killer Queen are fucking awesome though.

Japan is the opposite of America. It's fine with sexual stuff but appalled by gore while America is fine with gore but sexual stuff bothers them.

We talking the manga or anime? Because the first run of the anime censored the gore even more. All the gore was covered up with random shadow until the blu-rays were released.
