Hello all people in this thread, there's a memory that I have lost and I would like to know what it was.

Saw it in the 80s, europe, it was anime from japan.
Sci-Fi, city, futuristic, it was about a police force or military force.
Mecha: Pink girly and agile, light blue for main character, big and green for the guy that tanked.

Bubblegum Crisis?

Sounds like Techno Police.

WTF, indeed.

If it’s going to be a special where they are rebooting the likes of Kanon, Clannad, Air and Little Busters, then I must say that they are ambitious.

Rewrite was a pretty funny anime for its time.

Though, I’m not sure what they can do for Clannad, since I thought After Story seemed to be the best way to end the series, in my opinion.

Just watched episode 9 of Durarara!!

NOW things are getting interesting.

Personally (and maybe this should go in the hot takes thread too) Its very rare that I tolerate exorbitant amounts of CGI in anime, as they usually stick to the industry standard 30 FPS and it makes the 3d animation look choppy and its very displeasing to look at. I honestly have no idea how people watch Knights of Sidonia, Dorohedoro, Ajin, Beastars, or any other cg anime that people swear to me looks "good". I can only tolerate Land of the Lustrous and maybe Kemono Friends
I agree, shitty CGI can make or break a show for me if it's too prominent. One of the few that had passable CGI for me was Arpeggio of Blue Steel.
It's still a little clunky, but still looks better than newer shows with CGI like Goblin Slayer's model in his show.

The quality of the big name subs really went down this season. Pretty much every episode I watched (illegally of course) has at least one major typo.
I've noticed it too and some of them are pretty "How did you mess this up?" tier mistake wise. It makes me almost feel bad for the people actually paying for this level of quality. For the sake of future physical releases I'm hoping this is limited to them trying to rush out subs and they'll fix it up later, though a part of me doesn't trust these companies enough to actually bother.

Anyone remember pet shop of horrors?
I don't really ask for reboots, since I don't trust them half the time, but I think it deserves one.
It started out as this horror manga kinda which focused on the mysterious Count D and his pet shop full of mystical creatures that had unique rules. While this went on, you got to meet the cop Leon Orcot who's out here suspicious as hell of Count D due to all the mystery surrounding him. I loved the interactions between Count and Leon, and the introduction of Leon's brother, Chris which added it's own little side story about him and a few pets of the shop.
It had that shojo-y feel ,well because it was written by a woman, and some disturbing images but the anime only got a 4 episode series and I wish there was more. Hell I got the dvd for Christmas and rewatched the 4 episodes a ton but damn I miss it. Had that good ol late 90's early 2000's feel to it too.

I still have to get the last 2 volumes of the original 10 book series for my collection since they're out of print due to when Tokyo Pop went under. I would LOVE to buy the TOKYO series, but that got canceled in America due to Tokyo Pop going under, and as far as I know there was a fan translation project on tumblr a few years ago?

Anyone else got a series they wish got a faithful reboot?

I'm glad someone else remembers Arpeggio of Blue Steel. I picked it up that season alongside Kill la Kill, Golden Time, Nagi no Asu kara, and NouCome (among others) for the hell of it and I was legit blown away by how it looked and that the premise wasn't actually as stupid as it sounded. That it's continued to go unnoticed is a damn shame. What a hidden gem.

It's pretty good. I think it's a shame that legit half of it was true horror and the other half was just... weird, but it was a good watch, and I hate that it got only four episodes (josei anime tend to get fucked over). The dub I think was worth it for John DeMita as Count D, he was perfect.

I‘m not sure what year I remember reading this, but I do have to say that this was a pretty funny workplace manga that I’m surprised that this hasn’t been registered for an anime domain yet:

Arpeggio could do good CG, but sometimes it was real rough.

I want a reboot of Black Lagoon.

My favorite versions of Goku.

This AMV looks nice.

Some weird stuff.

Netflix upped their game.

I love muscle.
