looks like implications of most except DYRL
SDFM TV has been subbed legit since the VHS days.

Harmony Gold has gotten in cahoots with the rest of the Macross owners
"most" Macross is imminent through HG
So Big West cucked out to the massive fucking scam company that is HG? What in the fuck? Why did Tatsunoku and Big West want to keep working with these damn clowns? They literally would have lost the rights to pretty much the whole thing within a few years if both companies didn't decide to cuck to them.

iirc a year or two back HG said they resigned with Tatsunoko
onlines said Tatsunoko resigned with HG because it meant they didn't have to cut Big West into their SDFM deal with HG, which a new deal would mean
as for Big West from what I can tell it's a matter of "hold out against HG and make no money, but win a moral victory" or "work with HG and make money (minus a percentage) and win money"
one bit of chatter I've seen says Sony is making everybody play nice

The Noir soundtrack is iconic. Less so is Madlax but 'Nowhere' is a fucking bop.
Also HMMMMM @ macross. Scares me that there's probably too many versions. So the one with the idol, the DYRL film, that follows an anime? How many episodes?

Kino Arc, Kino.Dynazenon, Hathaway's Kino... finally some good fucking food. Im returning fellas....

Remembering coming across ads like these while rummaging through back issues of magazines like "Science Fiction Age" and "SF Universe" published in the 1990s, which had ads from all sorts of mail-order businesses from small book publishers, illustrators, to video retailers selling everything from "cult" classic movies, vintage science fiction, fantasy and horror movies and of course, anime, from outfits like The Right Stuf, and etc.

I vaguely remember magazine ads for VHS tapes of Robotech II: The Sentinels, the "unfinished" Robotech series, published by Palladium Books in the late 1980s or early 1990s. I think they were probably printed in Dragon (Dungeons & Dragons) magazine, which my brother subscribed to, or, if not, it would have had to have been in one of the videogame magazines we regularly bought such as Video Games and Computer Entertainment, Electronic Gaming Monthly or GamePro (VG&CE was the best, it's a shame it didn't survive nearly as long as the other two magazines I mentioned).

Streamline put out the three episodes they had finished as a movie. It's not worth it, trust me.

The entire reason why merch exists is because they know pirates will still fucking buy 300 dollar fully transformable motorcycles and planes.
Absolutely guilty as charged. I may or may not have a Yamato 1/48 25th Anniversary VF-1S. As well as a 1/60 Gamrin color VF-22S. The bucket list is the VF-4, but that's only the most desirable.

Damn really? Sayla is one of my faves too and I was getting into the whole story about her complicated relationship with Char being her brother. Ngl, I thought Beltorchika was her for the first few episodes until I figured out I was just retarded and i'm going to say Amuro has a thing for blonde women. Well, Hopefully nothing bad happens to Mirai where i'm at then. She has a cute family with Bright and I'm curious to see how she's fitting into the whole zeta picture.
Yeah, when I first watched MGS79 (like... a decade or more ago now) one of the things that really stuck out to me was all the set-up with Sayla. She's Char's brother and Zeon royalty yet has a growing role in the Federation (or on White Base, at least) and a budding relationship with Amuro, setting up a conflict and dual loyalties... but none of that stuff really goes anywhere.

I remember finding a couple of discussions about it, talking about her role being reduced from what was originally planned (I can't remember why; people linked to to articles and interviews but they were all in Japanese, so they could have been talking about Tomino's favorite curry recipes for all I know). That the show was cancelled and had a truncated ending likely didn't help much either. That Sayla tends to have a bigger role and an actual relationship with Amuro in the various re-tellings and adaptions show that there was definitely something more planned for her in the original series at some point.

Damn that- well hurts I guess- I guess I should enjoy whatever Sayla bits I get while I can. I'm watching origin while I watch Zeta and I think Sayla is adorable so far. What is she, the Tenten of Gundam now?? Getting screen time and characterization in other sources outside of the main sauce?
But yea i'll agree the whole double loyalties thing doesn't go a whole lot of places.
It really boils down to
Sayla: man what's Char/Casval up to....
Char: Wonder if my ovens on LOL
Sayla: CASVAL I MISS YOU
Char: cool I miss you too quit the feds
Sayla: BUT WHY ARE YOU WITH THE ZEONS
Char: *tuxedo mask's himself away or gets conveniently interrupted*

Granted I think it's getting elaborated on in origins, but I can't speak on that yet.

I think the biggest evidence of them dropping the ball on Sayla was the part where they're all in Texas and Char is like "here's a whole briefcase of money to pay your way please leave the federation" and when Sayla comes out to Bright her and Char are related Bright is like "okay" and it's NEVER brought up again which now that I think about it, is kind of out of character for Bright?
Like Amuro shows a sign of traitorous intent? GET IN THE CELL WHILE I WHIP MY BITCH SLAPPIN HAND OUT C H I L D.
Sayla, who's DIRECTLY related to the enemy? I see nothing wrong there really. Nope not a thing!
The only time Sayla got put in jail was when she stole the gundam for like 10 minutes early on, but??? The fact Bright was like "aight" and just put the whole Sayla and Char thing under the carpet was super weird now since i'm thinking about it.

Are you watching it subbed or dubbed? Personally, I usually go subbed for most things including movies but it might seem strange for a theater release.
For Demon Slayer (as well as majority of the anime) I'd recommend subbed too. Demon Slayer dub kinda sucks ass. Except for Giyu, Giyu sounds equally kino in dub.

I'm going dubbed tbh. I'm going with my mom since I got her hooked on the show. I accidently booked tickets for sub before I had to do the whole ass fandango exchange (which was surprisingly VERY easy). Personally I don't mind subs myself, but she has an issue keeping up with subbed animes so I made sure I got the dubbed version. I personally like the demon slayer dub myself but if you book tickets at least at my theater in the afternoons it was a DUB showing but at night it's a SUB showing if your curious.
Tickets might still be up for preorder depending where you are. I ordered today just to make sure I got a seat since my local theater is Fri-Sun due to covid only and I don't feel like waiting in line only to be turned down at the door so I ensured I got seats. Just make sure you READ since on fandango it's a little vague (as in if it says nothing the movie is in english, it it says English sub its Japanese) and after clicking to atomictickets to see if anything was cheaper it specified ENG SUB JAPANESE for the late showing hence why I was like "AW SHIT" and had to fix everything on the fly.

I should also mention, those AMC gold and black passes or shit DO NOT work on anime movies. Also they don't work on SOME disney movies as my friends have told me? Something about disney wanting to make extra money or some shit so thats why you see the "DISNEY MOVIE HAS SOLD OUT TICKETS~" they're not actually sold out, the media is just patting it's ass to make the movie look "amazing" which causes a rush etc. The gold pass worked when I went to see rise of skywalker, but these do not work on special showings. Couldn't use my gold pass to see YuGiOh DSOD a few years ago and that was a $13.50 pain. Loved the movie and cried like a bitch, but yea if you got those passes I thought I'd pass the word on.

TLDR: Please read before you book to make sure you're choosing either english dub or subtitled, and Amc gold/black passes don't work on special showings like anime movies and SOME Disney movies. Booking through fandango says on the print out "your purchase guarantees your seats, just please show up early".
