I'm not that good with technical terms lol. What is the difference between upscale and true HD transfer? I can't find any comparison screenshots either

As much as a third film would be cool, I feel like the way that it ended was satisfying enough on it's own.Rebellion really made me love Homura because its focus on her really helped me understand her as a character and just seeing how much she was suffering due to Madoka's decision, it also helped that I had done a rewatch of the series right before watching the movie. I'm still hoping for some sort of third film to wrap the series up because there was enough left open by the end of the film for it.
I'll try my best to explain, but I might be wrong.I'm not that good with technical terms lol. What is the difference between upscale and true HD transfer? I can't find any comparison screenshots either
Tbh that makes sense as well now that you bring it up. Will say I thought the kiss between Amuro and Beltorchika was pretty cute and it was nice to see Amuro finally open op a little. Heck it still stings since he was like "I don't mind if you leave me" to her. Amuro is just aging line a fine wine and it's nice to see him deal with all of his trauma. It's taking him a while but he's doin his best. For me I always found the main reason Fraw and Amuro never got together is due to how traumatised the war left Amuro. Especially Lalah's death left a huge emotional scare on Amuro and I'd like to believe their relationship never coming together was because Fraw realized Amuro was a mess and decided to "move on" in a way to the more stable Hayato.
I much greater enjoyed the relationship between Fa and Kamille because I find there's a lot more between the two and Fa really sticks with Kamille. Small ZZ spoiler that isn't that big but I loved when Fa and Kamille showed up there just because you could still see how much Fa cared.
I'm not too sure about how it's with anime, but from my knowledge of film if it's anything similar to scaling an old master up compared to commissioning an all new one it's largely to do with what resources are available. Upscales are probably taking an available resource (like the dvd release) and artificially "scaling" it up to blu-ray resolution, there's only so much they can do to fix it up given the original they're working with. Usually when it's only an upscale it's most likely due to no physical negatives existing anymore or they're too damaged to really get anything out of. A true HD transfer might be similar to going back to whatever negatives (physical surviving film) are available and piece together the best possible image they can and scanning it digitally (usually with a 4k or 2k transfer). Modern technology allows them to extract a lot more from those physical negatives than whatever was used for those original releases.I'm not that good with technical terms lol. Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of Space Dandy, has hung around Yoko Kanno so much her eccentricities have rubbed off and he's only capable of making anime with great soundtracks. Macross Plus basically launched a couple of the greatest partnerships in anime, when it comes to series with great soundtracks, that being Shoji Kawamori/Yoko Kanno and Shinichiro Watanabe/Yoko Kanno. Macross Plus, Macross Frontier, Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Kids on the Slope, etc. Anything either of those pairings touch turns to gold.Finished Space Dandy Season 1 a couple of days ago and holy shit I'm floored, it's great! I even like the dub of this show and most of the time I don't even bother with the dub. Something I noticed is that Space Dandy Season 2 started airing months after Season 1 and still has the same OP and ED (not complaining!), why are they still referred to as separate seasons?
Also, this song is sex and a half and I've been listening to it since I've finished the season. Space Dandy has an AMAZING soundtrack.

I originally wanted to watch Space Dandy after putting it off for so damn long because of Macross Plus, another great anime with a great soundtrack.Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of Space Dandy, has hung around Yoko Kanno so much her eccentricities have rubbed off and he's only capable of making anime with great soundtracks. Macross Plus has all three of them, Kawamori, Watanabe and Yoko Kanno. That amount of talent in that one OVA and shit that came from it is unreal, if you think about it. The mood whiplash when Macross 7 came out a few years later was also unreal and funny in retrospect. Watanabe's a great director and Dandy's such an interesting idea for an anime. Different director for every episode.I originally wanted to watch Space Dandy after putting it off for so damn long because of Macross Plus, another great anime with a great soundtrack.
hard agree.really love her fate stuff, even more with the last heavens feel movieYou know what composer doesn't get enough love? Yuki Kaijura
I think she pissed off Tomino somehow. Dam shame, her character doesn't have much relevance aside from the very end of ZZ and some side manga. So much so that my fan theory is she died before CCA and drove char over the edge.iirc, the original plan was was for Sayla to the final girl for Amuro. But for whatever reason Sayla's role got significantly reduced during production of the original show and then her VA got sick during Zeta, leading them to completely shelf her character.
She doesn't have Yoko Kanno absurd range, but her Kara no Kyoukai soundtrack is fucking brilliant. Shiki's various themes are haunting in a way that just sticks in the back of my mind. You know what composer doesn't get enough love? Yuki Kaijura
The OST by Yuki Kaijura for Pandora Hearts is probably the only good thing to come out of that awful adaption, I listened to it back when I read through the manga and it fit so well. You know what composer doesn't get enough love? Yuki Kaijura
Much like with the final Evangelion movie I haven't really followed the series in ages but it's fun to watch the meltdowns on /a/ cause of the ending. So, AoT has ended today.
