Dropped it when they began with the troon shit. Fuck that.
Was this really a part of the series? I thought it was just a bunch of troons projecting their identity onto anime like they usually do. Other than that, is the show interesting? Some people have compared to Boogiepop Phantom, but I think they're hyping it up too much.

It remains a goddamn travesty that Toonami aired background music from the show instead of the actual OP/ED.
They aired the OP fully after a few episodes when fans requested it/hounded them enough for it, but yeah, I don't recall the ED at all lol.

Its a one-off character in one of the episodes, it doesn't have much impact in the plot.

The show is a clusterfuck, there was no planned plot and it really shows. The visuals are pretty, that's about it.

The prodction of the show was a clusterfuck from the beginning of production to get episode 8 done they replaced it with a recap episode to stall for time. The production side was so bad that studio had to hire freelance foreign animators online to complete episode 8.

I can't find the tweet but apparently one of the producers was hospitalized.

There was a character who said that she was really a boy, and wore a jacket with the trans flag colors on it.
Was that the character that was a trap character who liked being cute and died from the shock of hitting puberty and growing facial hair? So in the afterlife he was girl so now he can stay cute?

It sounds like it was supposed to be a comedic death and just more trap troupe stuff anime does.

Also, Japan is a very conservative and nationalistic country. Japan literally has multiple laws against gay marriage. Do people really think they are gonna put trans rights stuff in their anime?

And yes. I have seen the image with the jacket and apparently the jacket has the same colors of a brand in the anime? It just might be a coincidence it has the same colors as the trans stuff.

I do think people really read into things too heavily now days. People should especially not be reading so heavily into a trash seasonal anime

Wrong show, that was Zombieland Saga. This one was a girl who after being confused by her identity issues decided to talk to her kendo instuctor who raped her. She then got pregnant, committed suicide, and became an egg.

Man, that really does sound like trash. WTF

Silly Japan you got the events in the wrong order.

Is Wonder Egg Priority any good? I've heard very polarizing things about it and I'm wondering if it's a worthwhile watch when I decide to watch it some time soon.

I also finally got around to watching Macross Plus and now I'm interested in the series. Is there any that are recommended or should I just go in series order?

Oh yeah, I started watching Space Dandy and it's fun as hell, also the ending theme is amazing. I haven't skipped the ending yet!

If you dig that sort of stuff you should check out the Tatami Galaxy's ED. (Or even Natsu no Arashi's OP, real nice groove.)

FINALLY FINISHED MOBILESUIT GUNDAM 0079.
HOOOOOOOLY shit that was good. The ending scene with Char I actually remembered from this late night anime death montage I went to at a convention so it was pretty cool seeing the context and all that go down. Also, I somehow found out Fraw and Hayato become a couple??? Bitch how since Hayato didn't do a damn thing really. I remember a few days ago I was like "Is Kai going to get better" and OHHH BOY HE DID. But god. Hayato. You didn't do a fucking thing really.

Honestly if I can find this shit on dvd i'm buying it cause lordy I feel like I could rewatch it over and over again. That was a fun few days of binging ngl. But I still got a laundry list of shit to watch like trying out Jujutsu Kaisen, and going back to BNHA S2, Naruto, and Haikyuu.

However, I'm on a hyperfixation and I am still unsure about where to go next.

So it is 0079, stardust, THEN Zeta. or is there something else between 0079 i'm not aware of? I tried to look for a list and it keeps listing origin first, THEN 0079, but a few kiwi's said maybe hold off on it? Also to add on the origins question, there's like two different origins I saw pop on on the site I use? Advent of the red comet, and then just gundam the origin, so yea what's the whole shebang bout that?

But yea if I can find out what to watch after 0079 that would be great since i'm assuming it's stardust then zeta and the other stuff like the war in a pocket and 08 team is if I want to see more of the OYW? But if anyone has like a preferred order I see everything in i'm open to hear it since all I know about Zeta is Kamille gets angry about his name and Char's here to laugh at everyone.

Sorry for the autistic commentary I am legit still trying to understand this franchise and i'm having a good time.
Stardust Memories is one of the few gundam series that I just can't get into even after several attempts to watch it so I can' t really recommend it, 08th and War in the Pocket are the much better series in my opinion. Only thing I'll praise is the opening and maybe some of the designs/animation:
I jumped into Zeta just because tonight I don't have focus for a 2 hour movie, and damn is Kamille.. interesting. Not in a bad way but damn this kid is down to fight everything and everyone and took his mom dying like a champ after crying for 5 minutes. Is he like a psychopath or some shit? He just has that (: look all the damn time but it's interesting not gonna lie. His whole fly off the handle energy is enduring.

Also with all my Char obsessing this past week I am very surprised I never noticed that scar on his face from where Amuro stabbed him in the face. I love small details like that tbh.
Voice wise, I didn't know it wasn't Michael Kopsa doing the voice, but Tom Edwards is pretty indistinguishable at least to me.
Kamille has a lot of problems, I still remember later in the show him calling himself autistic and that explains some of his behaviour. One of my favorite parts is how much of a grudge he develops for Jerid over the whole girls name thing, you almost start to feel bad for Jerid if he wasn't largely bringing it upon himself.

Also, depending on how you're watching Zeta you might be listening to a different opening theme than the original. When I watched the series on my Bandai DVDs they had this opening:
which is apparently there instead of the original for copyright reasons. Didn't know this myself for a while, honestly I like it more than the original since it gives the show a nice space opera feel to it.
Also apparently there was a missing episode from 0079 I never saw? Something about it before #15?
All I know about it is from the Gundam Abridged (rip) that did an episode using it.

As far as Macross goes, I'd only really suggest watching Macross 7 if your favorite things about the series are the music and the "love is our true power" stuff. I found most of the new characters boring and/or annoying, the plot isn't anything special, it mostly gives up SDF's attempt at portraying a sci-fi military, and it hits my pet peeve of what was once a 'real robot' mecha series now giving everyone and their grandmother a unique mech.

The only thing I remember liking about it was old characters popping up and seeing what had happened to them since SDF. They also tended to be the more interesting characters of the cast.

I thought that "I'm an autistic child" was some fake screen cap ngl. Like it FEELS like something that would be fake, but thank you for confirming that it was a real ass line. Then again I'm watching the dub, which again isn't bad. Not used to the new girl who's name is Fa? I was like "did it cut out? Oh no- that's her name alrighty then". But right now I'm on episode 7 so i'll see where it goes.

But yea the opening I got feels like PRIME 80'S and I'm kinda getting used to it? It's not bad but comparing it to the space opera ish one, I mean they're both equal, the vocal track is if you want some kinda 80's music video, the space opera one sets a good tone, it's just a little miffed when Haro pops out.
Will say I'm very thankful the ones i'm watching with the COMING UP~ is AFTER the credits. When I saw 0079 it spoiled some deaths and I was like "WAIT-WHAT?" but I don't have to worry bout it with Zeta. Speaking of ED's, yea I wasn't a fan of 0079's ED. It's okay but I wouldn't put it on my spotify anytime soon.

I did a little more digging and apparently it was pulled because it wasn't up to the guys standards? It threw me off big time when the site I used had the final episode loop twice nearly until I caught it 5 minutes in. I can't find it in sub either on the website but I guess it'll just exist but i'll give the abridged series a try. Gotta love some good ol abridging.

Also finished gundam-san, wish it was longer that was a good run.

Yeah, it was the actual episode 15. It got both the episode's director and its animation team (the infamous for Macross Anime Friend) booted from the show. Watching it, I don't see what's too terribly wrong with it since Gundam, especially the original, is no stranger to weak episodes or janky animation, but I guess Tomino saw something in it that made him kick both to the curb and ban the episode.

Alright lads I'm gonna watch Hunter X Hunter in full from episode 1 so I can finally understand the fascination with Togashi. Anything I should know before going in?

It is a great anime. It does start out slow. Just stick with it, it is worth it.

Only downside: You will be have to join all of us Hunter x Hunter fans in hiatus hell after you finish.

I‘m reading Tanaka-san Is Extremely Lazy (or something like that) and it‘s really, really funny with some good punchlines... but holy hell do I want to shake the main character constantly.

I almost gave up about 3 chapters in because I hated him so much, but chapter 4 was really funny and it’s been better since then.

it actually reminds me a lot of Hitori Bocchi whatever, except that Bocchi is extremely likable.
